Have a blue heater. And yes it was running then froze.
Unplug the pump and get if out of pond and hook up another hose and get everything running. That's what I did many years ago when my power went out and pumps froze. Cut hole in the ice where pump was. You can make hole in ice by running a hose of hot water from house to pond and running water will cut hole in ice nicely.
You can alway hook a spare pump up and hose, always have a old pump handy with hose just in case.... Get water moving in front of heater.

Way too cold! If it’s diesel, there’s an additive to keep it from gelling, and most motors have a plug in to warm the engine itself.

Took a 50 mile bike ride at the canal path today. Pretty cool looking roset like ice chunks at the locks

how deep is your pond? Do you have a buildup of rotting vegetation at the bottom? Approximate gallonage? Does your bog feed into your pond? If the bog froze, not a problem. If the pump died, not a problem (as long as my above post holds true re depth, in-ground, non-overstocking, hole open), and if you know all this already, you know if your fish will be okay or not.

ponds "clean" and the bog feeds the pond. about 7k gallons about 4' deep in the middle about 30 fish

both pump sare in the pond along with the heater/deicer.

bought another heater after 8hrs i finally got to see "water" apparently i have "lost" water as the water line is about foot below where it should be. but i have about a foot or so thick ice i need to melt through.

sorry for bad picks but its dark out. and the leaf netting is in the way. gonna get me a garden hose tomorrow as mine is froze now and see what i can do. the fact there is a fair amount of water left and i was able to free my return pipe in to the pond to make a temp hole gives me hope.

This is the first year i have had an issue with ice.

Hopefully warm weather comes soon! Of your fish are small and pond has lots of water still left under ice, you should be ok.
I had to drag frozen garden hose into house and defrost, then ran it out to ponds and topped off pond. Water may have been displaced by ice.

It’s cold. Very cold. Like 9 F, with wind chill, it feels like 0. But it’ll get up to 40F at the end of the week. The old husky prefers to stay outside most of the time, the younger ones are mixed, so they come in and thaw out a bit before wanting back out.

Our little Missy has learned how to do her business really fast! Usually she does a lot of sniffing around looking for the perfect spot, now she does it within moments and uses those fast little feet to get right back into the house.

Warmer this am...................9f

Making homemade cabbage rolls and it's my first time. Seen lots of video and some people use raw hamburger/pork mixed with raw rice and roll up in cabbage and cook with lots of tomato sauce. I think I will do it that way so the fat can make sauce extra tasty. If I cook everything first and roll up into cabbage later I think the flavor won't be as good. Everything in raw except steamed cabbage. Cook slow and long for hours and I got fresh tomatos that cost a arm and a leg to chop up and put over tomato sauce to make sure they don't dry out... What do you think?
Freezing cold again at -34 Celsius
I use a mix of canned diced tomatoes and tomato soup!

It is 17F here this morning, way colder with windchill. This is very rare weather for us. And it is lasting for so long. My new little pond, about 500 gal. is now frozen over except for an opening at the waterfall. No fish in it yet. It has been many years since my pond had ice on it. Pic later on.

my poodle has a UTI at the moment so needs to go out often, but she does her business quickly and comes back without much sniffing around. She's too sheltered to enjoy the weather outside.
