@JBtheExplorer You will have a good view in 2024 cuz I think Michigan is supposed to be the place w/the best view then. It did get a bit darker here but not like I was hoping. We were at 70+ temp and went down to 62 at 93%. Felt like I was freezing!
Now it's up to 80. I won't forget it either, it was cool..........in more ways than one

Clear, cool, and heck, there's even a frost advisory just north of Wisconsin tonight. yikes.

Mr. Moon was visible for a short time tonight. Finally went out in public after that great show he put on the other day. Let's be honest, it's just amazing that we have this massive rock circling us.

Cooler out today. Felt like early Autumn. We're one week away from meteorological Autumn, which is a bit depressing, but I also enjoy the early part of Fall quite a bit. I just hate seeing that we're starting to get cooler, the sun is setting earlier... Not much fun.

Speaking of not much fun, it sounds like people down south are about to be dealing with a potentially devastating hurricane. I've been watching the tropical storms and depressions lately, but this seemed to strengthen out of nowhere. The amount of rain that parts of Texas are going to get is insane. I couldn't even imagine what people along the Gulf coast are going to be dealing with.

Hoping all in Texas and also all states south that are going to be near the storm are safe.

Can't believe how much rain they're seeing in Texas. I couldn't even imagine getting even a quarter of that.

HOT/SUNNY/SMOKEY... Fortunately, we have Agency Lake between us and the closest forest fire, about 7 miles away as the crow flies. We have 2 fairly large fires to the east and south east of Crater Lake, maybe 15 -20 miles away. All are lightning caused. 91 and very low humidity right now, not good for putting out fires. We could really use a couple or three inches of the Texas rain!

I hope they don't any closer. I'm no longer freaking out about a little rain, this I'd be going bonkers.
