Today was about as perfect as it can get. Low 80s, a nice breeze. A great day to spend out by the pond. The hummingbirds were constantly over on my Mexican Sunflowers and Great Blue Lobelia. Even a few Monarchs.

The Hurricane Irma situation is looking worse and worse every day. Already a category 3 and expected to keep building up. As of now, the path is showing it aiming towards Florida. Still too early for them to know where it's headed, but it's not looking great for the lower east coast.

We may be heading south after Irma hits, if it hits the lower part of Florida, 4 rentals down there, just north of fort lauderdale. I can see the additional assessments hitting.............

Hope it misses the area, hope it turns north and misses the US and all islands down there.

Gonna be another hot one for us today. I do see some blue up there so the smoke is not totally getting us.

Praying for that Irma to calm down and dissolve into nothingness.

Now we have ash falling from the fires, ugh I am coughing and can smell the smoke a lot this morning. Was supposed to get up in the higher 90's but the smoke/ash should keep it a bit cooler. I'd rather have clear skies and high temps!

Hope Florida can keep safe from this Irma monster coming!

My friend up the road took this shot of the sun today behind all the smoke and ash.

This is south of us:
Crystal Mountain Resort 14 hrs ago

This is a report for their area:
The fire has crossed the ridge and is moving down the slope between East Peak and Norse Peak. We are now under a level 3 evacuation. Please leave the area immediately. The Greenwater Community Center is open for anyone needing a place to stay tonight. Response teams from Enumclaw, Buckley and Greenwater are on site. We hope everyone stays safe! We will update as new information becomes available.

Not yet, tomorrow it is supposed to clear up here. The fires will still burn but the air will shift directions. Then we may get some rain in a day or so. Hope it helps put out the fires.
