We are getting smoke now from Oregon and eastern Washington. We just lost the smoke from Canada. We can't win. At least they aren't that close to us like @Stephen T. ..................crossing fingers
We could use some rain here also. Don't think it's gonna happen any time soon tho.

We have about 5 miles of lake between us and the fire, so I doubt it will jump that! The smoke is another story, at 90 degrees, with visibility under 1000', it's just plain ICKY outside! The Pacific Northwest has certainly got it's share of the fires and smokey conditions. The weather is predicted to be hot and dry for the next week, so things are unlikely to change soon.

Yep we are stuck in the muck! Time to take a vacation away from here but not to Texas, yikes they truly have it bad too.
Fire or floods, don't want either one so guess I'll just be grateful we are only getting smoke.

69°F today. You can tell we're exiting Summer now. Cooler days, getting dark earlier. Halloween stuff in stores. Christmas stuff will be in stores by the end of September.


We had smokey white skies today thanks to Canada wildfires. Air quality was poor.

Well finally rain got here about 1 am .Chilly and damp but says it is 76 outside .Geeze you are behind some christmas stuff here has been out and saw new years stuff

Heat warning here for coming higher than normal temps up in the 90's possible. This is Twilight Zone crazy for us:

62 here, feels like 55. Wasn't paying attention to temps yesterday but first day pond is warmer than the air, nights included, for a long time.

64 here and feels like 44 to me because of dampness but supposed to get back up to the 80's again which 82 in September is normal for us .A little windy and heavier rain last night so pond is full again

85 for today which is not normal for us. Blue skies and no smoke but the smoke is coming back in a couple days they say. Hate the smoke! Usually rain and cooler starting in Sept. I'll take this heat for now as I know soon enough we will be drenched to the core!

Going to about 75 today and 80's and 90's for rest of the week. I think we are getting someone else's weather cause normally nights are cool by September but it was so beautiful last night I sat till after 1am by the pond and just watched the fish swim and the Hornwort churn in the water. It was so smokey last night the moon was red.

Hot and getting hotter during this week. Should be around 86 today. I watered my life away yesterday in preparation for this heat wave that never ends. The smoke is back here also. High fire danger reported.

We are lush green and growing. I have not had to water the plants in pots all summer
