Well, I think the problem with the DISH is ME! LOL I had my tv turned on maybe 2 or 3 times total in the last probably 4 months, besides if I had company here. I'm just not a tv watcher, much prefer to be outside when the weather is nice. So, I decide to turn it on because the weather is bad on Sunday, and I can't be outside and find problems. Then turned it on again last night, more problems. I guess I need to watch more tv when the weather is nice! NOTTTTTTT!!!! I do love watching "The Blue Planet" on Animal Planet. All about fish in the seas. VERY entertaining. It's like having a mega screen saver!
Thanks everyone for letting me know I'm not alone with problems with my DISH. I stand corrected and will not harass the DISH peeps any more. :)

It just poured here, 2 inches an hour, but from the north, so dtv kept working. Totally depends on the direction the rain is coming from.

raining, 1.5 inches so far, my propane tank hole now has 15 inches of water in it...............water flows nicely from our drive down the slope right into the hole! At least it is supposed to be no rain for the next week, well after tomorrow.

give it a chance to dry so I can finish the dig before friday.

Maybe that water will dissolve all those rocks in there for you, Addy .... one can hope, right?!
Cool 50 this morning, cloudy, drizzly, but my sister is coming, so life is good! Giving myself an hour this morning for "computer time", then hitting the "cleaning house" mode until she gets here, or until I get done to my satisfaction ... probably when she arrives. LOL
Happy Friday to everyone!

It's verrry depressing here. Overcast skies, a lot of rain. I lowered the level of my pond 6-8 inches a few days ago and today, it's almost overflowing again. I'm gonna have to drain the pond some more. No raining right now, just overcast. There is no Sun, the worst part is that leaves are all over the place. Not complaining about the leaves on the ground, just that the trees are bare. The only other bright splash of color is my Steller's Jay who continues to come for food, but there's only one of him. I hope that his partner is nesting and not the victim of fowl play. JW, how do you deal with winter here?

The one good thing about the rain, I moved over 100 plants during this readjustment...........the rain watered them very nicely.. The poor things got yanked out of the ground stuck in the ground and left. So far all living. Still have a bunch of bulbs to get planted, that were dug up. The rocks take a year to turn to dirt.

It is warm here, the lilies are blooming 5 today, the flower are growing like spring and putting out new blossoms. Per noaa, they think el nino (think it was nino) is not developing like they thought, so right now they say we are middle of the road for warm or cold winter. But the west , north west will be hot and dry for the winter........
check it out jw, you might be dry!

We are getting rain, rain, rain up here all day today and how do I deal w/ winter.............I pray for snow, put on my skiis and fly around the hood........cept my ski boots came apart last year from their souls when I was out in the snow so I need to glue them before the snows come if they do. Wonder if a glue gun would work w/ that stick stuff in it? If it rains all winter I'll be pouting and wearing my raincoat a lot or me and hubby will head for the southlands of Arizona if we get bored w/ this stuff.
If we are dry here addy it will be a miracle!

I went from dish to direct tv and could not believe the guy stood out here and argued with me about were to place it .He wanted to put it on my roof and I told him you try I will knock you off the ladder .I have 2 metal poles that my old dish system was on and either you put it on one of those or leave .I know that insurance companies will not cover damage to your roof if there is one of them attached to it .There is even a thing in my policy that states it also .He put it on the pole and I had told direct tv before they came here nothing gets attached to my roof .I get a lot of high winds being up on a hill and out in the open .Has been 72 to 74 the last couple of days and getting up near 80 by monday and all next week ,at least that is what the weatherman says
