Ya, it's been getting cold for me too. The fish seem to be hungry, they mill around the feeding area when I'm around but I just don't want to chance feeding them. Today, I drained about 6 inches out of the pond because it has been raining so much. In a couple of days it'll be full again!

Rain this morning with a couple T storms. We also have a high wind alert until 9 tonight, possible gusts up to 4o mph.
Still feeding my fish, pond temp is still in the 50's.

We had high winds last night about 10 pm and it hit the chimney and looked out and could not even open front storm door it was blowing so hard .But day started at 51 degrees and suposed to go up to 70 again .So yard work here i come again .Most of the trees are trimmed and cross over branches cut out .Fruit trees are done .We did get pretty heavy rain yesterday so transplanting some stuff should be easier .

It was 74 when I went to lunch today, and 68 after dark when I got home. Loving this warm weather again, but tonight and tomorrow rain likely and then 40's tomorrow evening. I'm still hoping for sunny conditions Sat. and Sun. when my sister is here from WI. We plan to ride horse and mule on Sat. all day, and then go to Covered Bridge Festival on Sun. Hoping to find some good deals on Sun. since last day of the Festival, hoping there are things left! Looks like 62 on Sat. and 70 on Sunday! Woohoo that will be perfect!

Suddenly got cold and very high winds, with steady rain, just tonight. The small table and chair blew of the deck this evening, never blew away all summer!
Got to run back to the grocery store and get a few more supplies, in this cold wind and rain, hubby needs stuff, so here I go again.... At least hubby's more "alive" today and was walking better, not needing the cane to walk as much either. Wish he would eat little more, eating still hard since the mouth surgery, but way WAY better than the feeding tube he had last week! :)

Addy, I thought you dug the tank OUT, now putting it in a different spot .... or was it bad, thus the digging out part, as it looks like you have a new one coming? Rock sucks! Are you digging by hand (shovel) or with your handy dandy tractor?
Beautiful this morning, pretty sunrise .... up to 59 so far, heading to upper 60's, but rain coming in this afternoon and evening.

Darn, thought it was supposed to come last night, so didn't fill goldfish pond, which is too low. Had to add water this morning, but didn't fill it, hoping the rain will finish the job!

Sorry confusing the tanks. We are expanding our drive / parking area for the cars/boats he works on. To do so I moved the 1000 gallon stock tank, that was to be a lily pond until the neighbors dog almost drowned in it. At that point I filled it with peatmoss and dirt for the plant bog, rather than dig it back out. Well with the expansion I dug it out. That tank is going next to the big pond, it will waterfall into the big pond on the opposite end from the preforms I put in this summer.

The other tank hole is for a underground propane tank that is being delivered next friday.

Digging by hand? lol no way, a picture is worth 100000000 words....... This is what our dirt looks like 6 inches down.

I ran into a band of rock that my tractor is having issues getting though.

rock lovers beware drooling not allowed over addy's rock pile .So no no .

That stuff I call mush rock, it is shale, turns to dirt once exposed to weather. Worthless rock, wish it was usable. They are welcome to come and get all they want ! lol

I dig up tons of it.
