@sissy no ice here! It's 37f and tomorrow will be in the 40's.
Says it will be 32 tonight so I suppose ice is possible but hope not cuz that stuff wrecks everything.

That one stretch of 95 almost had us thinking of pulling off. It was bad.

Sissy- hopefully just a thermostat problem. Ours has energy saver settings and its hard to override it. No way its going to heat house without putting electric bill thru the roof. Wood stove does all heating and it went out last night again. 5f here and 61 in house at 6am.

wifi thermostat is out and out side unit is not working and indoor unit ran all night and won't shut off .I have a fireplace but the little wood I have is all in snow tarp blew off with wind .Only source of heat for now .Indoor unit does not heat that is supplied by both units when freon runs backwards .Indoor unit will not turn off even when I hit the switch on the unit .It is just pumping cold air into the house .It is a newer unit also .Had everything replaced a couple of years ago and company said they would be here when they can get to me .meanwhile I am freezing .I have been looking at those wall hung units that heat and cool as a back up .Wind is the problem here it is bitter out .Shoveled out to the heat pump unit already .Before it went out I was trying to get heat in the house ,Then everything went black on the screen .So it must have been going out when I turned it up and that pushed it over the edge

Do you have someplace you can go until they come out and fix it? I have the woodstove at 600f and house is still only 67. My oven needed cleaning so 4 hour cleaning cycle will at least heat kitchen.

Did the repair company give any idea how long it will be before they can come? Not sure you would even be able to find a portable heater at a store right now.Sold out around here.

guy called me over 2 hours ago and said he would be here in a few minutes .HMMM few minutes .None of the few heaters they have around here would even heat a bathroom in my house .Most are sold out here also .I don't want to go out any where if he does come but says 16 degrees for tonight and since that is danville and it is warmer there than here it will probably be a lot colder here .I am looking to turn my fireplace into a propane one that gives off good heat but not sure which one to choose .I am afraid hubby will get sick as he cannot take the cold .He can't drive with sun glare since his eye surgery

Snowed like crazy last night and now we got lots of fresh powered snow. Minus 20 Celsius and getting colder it appears. Went outside to shovel snow early this morning in my shorts and old man walking by was shocked to see me out shoveling snow in shorts, but when I get moving I am very warm and if I have warm feet and hands then I am fine.

Got this video that was shot yesterday of the Frazer Canyon highway in BC Canada.... sure would not want to be stuck in that big mess! Get the Chains out!!!
