My luck finally ran out. Been a mild winter till now, 6" of snow on thursday, FREEZING cold last night and today. Now, there's a warm front coming, bringing rain and flood warnings. Not for me, I live in the foothills, but my work is just yards from the river. I have a feeling my weekend will be interrupted.
It was13 degrees his morning, 24 this afternoon, my ignitor part for my furnace came in the mail today no more lighting it with a lighter! YAAAA

I was wrong about the +10 degrees, the sun was hitting the thermometer! It's still - 2.6 and the cold water fawcett in the bathroom is frozen somewhere under the house. So now I get to crawl around under there and hope nothing broke. I had all the faucets dripping and forgot and shut that one off about 7am, oops.

UGH, nothing worse than broken pipes in the winter--I hope everything is OK. I swear half of my winters at our old house involved monitoring all the faucets and keeping a tiny thin trickle of water going on cold days like today. On one occasion I forgot about the one in the upstairs guest bathroom and the trickle ran for 3 weeks. Luckily it was such a thin trickle of water it didn't jack the water bill sky-high.

We won't hit the snow states until late tomorrow afternoon, I will be watching the weather channel on the phone. Any prediction or words of problems with i95 we will stop Not worth wrecking.

If any of you live near I95 and you are hearing it is bad, send me a pm, I will get a email to warn us off. We have no issue hanging out at a hotel.
I just watched the weather channel, 8-12 inches in NC right along I95, starting tomorrow or tonight, think we are going to be delayed!

My dad sent me a picture of his neighborhood in Alabama right now.... I bet the Crimson Tide are glad they are playing their championship game in Florida and not in Tuscaloosa.

snow anyone free for the taking .snowballs .We got a foot of snow .Highway 58 is clear but no plows will see us until later .Addy check out the 95 traffic cameras .They have several of them

Our temps were supposed to rise but heck it's only 12 out there now. Maybe on the way to the rain we will get a bit of new snow tonight?

Our forecast was a bust. A "warm nose aloft" meant that we got quite a bit of sleet, followed by freezing rain. Then just a dusting of snow. Luckily, the freezing rain was not enough to hurt trees or power lines.
