What is your weather like ... today

We are in trouble, we must leave here, house is rented on Sunday, leaving tomorrow. The storm is hitting all along our route north. We thought of leaving today, but that puts us right in its path by the time we get to GA-NC. So it looks like we might be spending the weekend camped in a hotel on the road. We will not even try to drive if the weather hits like they are saying.

I95 is bad in good weather there is so much traffic.

Our neighbor is going to take Monday off to accept the corvette from the shipping company if we don't make it home by then.

61 here, they are saying get out your coats.

Be careful!!!!! I will send hopeful vibes that it isn't as bad as they expect. Be sure you have all sorts of supplies in your car, just in case!

We will, we are in a 4 wheel drive yukon xl, so a nice big truck. Loaded with food, water and we did bring our winter coats, do have blankets etc. So we are a traveling store lol

We talked of leaving earlier, like mid week, but we had to get the corvette shipped, then one of our rentals leaked into the condo below, plugged AC condensation line and while there checking that, the water heater was leaking so we have our main fix it guy replacing the air handler, it was old, and the water heater. Then had to check the damage below, one finger width of wet. Already almost dry in the utility closet. Waiting for the owner to come back on Sunday to see if he demands a bit of paint etc. Our fix it guy will take care of it.

So we got delayed now helena is coming to visit. We will camp in a best western plus for as long as we need to, very nice clean hotels.

AHH you run out of tp there is always paper around some where in your house .Just like the old out houses a magazine will due .Just watch out for different color bottoms .They say up to 10 inch's here from 7 pm tonight until 7 pm Saturday .Then by next week back to 50 degrees .A bag of kitty litter and a small shovel also addy .I always carry kitty litter in both my vehicles come winter

Last Year my son was in his Silverado 2500 4 wheel drive, hit black ice on a bridge, spun out, hit the ditch and rolled his truck. they were ok but the truck was totaled. Go careful or find a nice motel.

yep lay in bed and have a second honeymoon addy after all your work down in Florida .They are saying 10 inch's for us but right now it is 40 degrees outside but no sun .Wind does make it feel colder .Hubby and I slid all the way across a bridge a couple of years ago going to NJ .We even missed our turn at the end of the bridge and had to back up on black ice .Looked wet but was ice .It was up near the Washington DC border in VA .The bridges are the worst .

All of you take care back in the snow coming area's. Better to sit tight somewhere if you don't have to go anywhere. Wait and see what it does then make your plans.
Sounds like you have a good plan @addy1 if it looks bad just pop into a comfy motel and enjoy till it calms down.

It's about 12f right now but here comes that big sun out to warm things up. Not a crumb of snow has left our place yet. Rain coming Sunday so bye bye snow

We've had an interesting few days! Monday night they said we'd get a bit of snow, then Tues. 2-4" and that night 4-8". Well, it started snowing Tues. morning around 5am and snowed fairly hard all day. By 9 that night there was 8" of powder. The next morning, GOOD GRIEF, another 20+ inches! During the day Wed. we only got another 3 or 4" then it cleared and got fairly cold, -9 in the morning on Thursday. They said it would be around -5 last night, but we woke up to -19.7 for a low and it's up to around 6 degrees now (10am). My pond/stream is hidden under thick ice and 28-32" of snow. I think I'll do some snow stuff, but won't think about the pond for several months!

35f now but bad wind chill. Got the netting pulled off both ponds, pond breathers and 100w heaters running. Local weather says maybe an inch of snow for tomorrow but national weather says 5-6" or more and temps in low 20s. Don't do the bread , milk, toilet paper thing. All I needed was some fresh strawberries and red raspberries. B-B&B-- Bonbons , berries and bubbly!

OUCH- Glad I live in the south. Still haven't gotten over Snowmageddon from several years ago.

I was wrong about the +10 degrees, the sun was hitting the thermometer! It's still - 2.6 and the cold water fawcett in the bathroom is frozen somewhere under the house. So now I get to crawl around under there and hope nothing broke. I had all the faucets dripping and forgot and shut that one off about 7am, oops.

Well mrsclem you are not in the south and I am not southern sate either it starts in NC .but we are still more southern than some on here .Guessing then if you run out of tp you may need to borrow the neighbors newspaper one reason I like a basement stephenT

Freezing as usual in Canada.... No end in sight to minus 20 below weather. On a good day might get to -15 Celsius.

Grocery store where I work looks half empty. Not sure what's going on. No butter, cream and milk half the time. While big freezer bunkers empty... Worst I ever seen it. Stocking up now for mini ice age..
