What is your weather like ... today

No sight of winter today! Was it every hot this afternoon, high 80's! Still quite warm, going to snuggle my fat little Poppy and sleep with the screens open tonight!

I have had the air off for 2 weeks now because there has been a nice cool breeze and during the day it gets up to around 80 or more but it is with sun and clouds and a nice breeze .So gotta love the fresh air

Can you believe we are still being warmed by the sunshine. My bones sure enjoy it and got lots of work done today cutting off dead stuff and trimming some in the way tree branches. DH even power washed the deck boards. People across the road stopped painting there house pink and changed it to an awful bright gold and then changed it to a really pale yellow. Think they have decided to go w/ the pale yellow, thank Heaven............even tho yellow is not my fave color it is much nicer than the other choices!

Welp, last week we were still getting 90*F weather. Think we're done with the 90*F weather. :claphands: Still rain is being a stranger to us. :grumble:

Morning's low temperatures are starting to be in the 41*F~53*F range. Afternoon high temperatures in the 73*F~83*F range. Might have a day or two around 88*F.

I think Fall is finally in my area.

Everything is still brown here. Locals are saying that the grass might be dead. For as long as we went with no rain and hot temps.

Yeah, we had to say bye :bye2: to quite a bit of native pastor grass. Grass I thought we would never lose. Roots still down there somewhere, just going to take a flood to wake them up. I have been seeing people using those 1" impact sprinklers with a booster pump to start watering some of their pastor grass so their goats, horses, or longhorns have something to munch on.

We were only supposed to get a light rain last but it really came down hard and heavy and even dogs would not go out .This morning got up to over 4 inches of extra water in the pond ,what did all the rain do target my pond .I could not believe it the plant basket was only an inch of water up on the side and this morning it was over the top of it .

Are you having a "rainy season" Sissy? Hope no fishes overflowed out of the pond!
tonight it's supposed to get pretty close to freezing, only going to be +2c. Some of the trees by the river got touched by frost and are all yellow.

No I still have 6 inches until i get to the top and sure gonna get some of that tomorrow because rain yet today but tomorrow supposed to be worse with wind blowing 40 to 50 and gusts could be higher .A bad of storms coming across the US .We need the rain so it is all good

It is really strange out tonight it is 70 degrees and really foggy and there is no breeze what so ever and yet tomorrow supposed to be really windy and bad storms ,is this the calm before the storm .We did get some really hard rain on and off today and when you walk in the yard water squishes up .

Fishy, we didn't get rain until I left work at 4:50 this afternoon! Then, just light rain, probably less than .1" total. Sure was wet this morning, though. I got up through the night, maybe around 3, and it was really foggy outside. Must have been temperature difference between air and ground I guess. Beautiful temps, although cloudy today most of the day. Was in mid 70's again, perfect weather! Getting chillier tonight then back up to 70's on Wed. Bouncing back and forth ... that's Illinois for you!

Wow talk about rain it has been pouring out since 6:30 this morning and it is now 8:13 and not even 4 more inches to the top of my pond and it will soon be near the over flow pipe .Not much in winds yet .But not sure how low laying area's are doing but here there is alraedy flooding in some areas .The creek on the other side of the road is over flowing it's banks .glad I am up high

Glad you are up high too sissy and keep dry and just enjoy the green stuff and a free water fill for you pond!

Another line of strong storms coming through again but with thunder and lightening .Talked to 2 of my neighbors that bought the idiot builder homes here and they have water in there basements ,surprise surprise .Like I knew that was coming he did not even know what hurricane straps were and did not install them on any of the homes here .I know we need the rain but not all at once

Stay safe, Sissy! Sunny but only got to the mid 60's for a high, but tomorrow back up to 70's and sunny again. Loving this fall ... um well it's still summer ... weather!
