Just got back from Calgary, several Frost warnings issued for some parts of Alberta, Rocky Mountain House, areas near the foothills. Very high winds, had no rain here for weeks, now the grass is burning and Alberta just issued an Emergency Alert for wildfires around Lethbridge, several small towns are evaluated, and others on alert. Had to drive Thur very black smoke, very high winds too.

Poured down rain last night late and then woke up here to nice sunny weather for another day of camping.

77 for high today, 55 or so for low expected. 85 and sunny tomorrow. Loving these 70/50's though! Since we totally missed out on spring (jumped right into 90's and summer weather back in March!), I'm loving the fall weather we will hopefully get for a good long time.

Currently 60 degrees, wind finally calm. We had a lot of smoke this afternoon from all the wild fires burning by Lethbridge Alberta, which is still under a fire alert. Drove threw a big cloud of smoke this afternoon. Some parts of the highway around Lethbridge are still closed due to fires and smoke. Lots of leaves to pick up in yard now! :(

Raking, blowing, picking up leaves is something I do not miss! I used to live in the woods, probably 100 mature HUGE oak and hickory trees in the yard, it was a nightly chore, to try to keep ahead of them. Now, the leaves I have just blow away, literally! I have never picked up a rake here. By the time the crops are out (they are on the edge of my property), the leaves start falling, winds blow, they end up in the next township. LOL Love it! Few that make it into the pond get caught by the skimmers usually.
Pond temp is down to 69 degrees, was at 72 on Sat. Cool 50's at night are slowly cooling them down. But, expecting 85 for a high today. Sunny and beautiful, low humidity. Yep, Addy, I love the 70's and 50's temps, too!

It has been really smokey here the last couple of days due to fires in MT and ID. Covered tomatoes tonight because of a frost warning. So sad to see summer go.

I mowed the grass shorter than normal before we left, hoping I would not have a forest when we got back.

Back home from camping and weather is nice and sunny still and should be for awhile longer they say. Liking this Indian Summer it looks like we might get! 70* right now! Cats sure are happy to be home but they did quite well
