This is my pathway around the pond. At least it's supposed to be. 😅
I should probably reclaim it, but it looks so good I'm not sure I can do it.

Two views of the pond (about 4 months since installation; 300 gallons or so; stocking= three feeder goldfish; at some point will find a better way to disguise the pvc pipes from diy trash can bog filter)

Water lilies blessed me with another bloom a few days ago, gonna last a day or two more and then it's done. But it's interesting, I get 2-3hrs max of sun, and this is in 3ft more or less so you'd think it wouldn't have enough energy to bloom but I suppose plants blooming isn't about having optimal conditions.

I thought I would branch out from @CountryEscape 's "What is your weather like ... today" topic and ask you: What does your pond look like ... Today?

As we all know, ponds go through many changes throughout the year, some large, some small; some good, some bad. From snow melting, to plants growing; From leaves falling, to the first snowfall. I thought this would be a great way to share how your pond looks on any given day in comparison to the last time you shared, which could be be as recent as yesterday, last week, or last month, depending on how frequently you'd like to share. It would be an nice way to see how all of our ponds change throughout the year, and what they look like on any given day.

Here's how my pond looks today:

Snow is slowly melting, but the pond is still frozen solid.

I dug this pond last year and filled it with clean, clear, cold ground water pumped from my home's foundation footing drain system. That was fine until it rained and the surface runoff made the water brown.
This year I drained it and started lining it will concrete and rocks and a bit of a pond liner.
I just placed the last of the rocks and redirected the footing drain. It's about half full here.
I'll be visiting this newly found page frequently for aquatic plant advice :)
