Beautiful bog bean!!
Thanks! I was waiting for a nice, soaking rain to help clear the water from all the Spring muck (toad spawn) and tannin (tree pollen) Now I just have to deal with seriously low kh because of all the rain. Sigh... It's always something (but also always fun!)Your pictures are always fantastic. That WAS some rain spell you had. We got a lot (charlottesville, va ) but not as much as you. I can’t believe how clear your water is after so much rain. Mine would have been a cloudy mess. Love your girl soaking up the rays..mine are sun seekers too
It is easy to grow, just takes a bit to get going. Blooms beautifully this time of year.I have got to make more of an attempt to grow bog bean that stuff is beautiful.
that fish is Bert and had him since 2004 ,he is the bad fish of the group he likes to come up and spit water at you .Not sure why he does it but he started doing it about a year ago .I thought it was just a mistake but he does it every time I am doing something with the pumps or something close to him .Love that big fish at the bottom of your pic looks to be a real nice fish.
my mulching cannot get done because this past week we had around 9 inch's of rain and they say more is coming in the form of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall most of this week coming up .Mostly sunny yesterday and today, so we decided to do our annual mulching around the pond.

What a nice size pond in a beautiful setting KdubU and I see you have a huge garden...Makes me miss the Northeast!Pretty Lily, addy! You have to be 3-4 weeks ahead of us up here.
Pics from today. Year 2 and still have some more strategic stone placement to go. I keep hunting for free ones but anything of decent size is too heavy to dead lift into the bed of the pickup. Wish I had a trailer and 1 ton pickup so I could drive my tractor to the free stones about 30 mins from me. The guy is saying take all you need, please!
