I saw a tiny little bud at the bottom of my lilies today. Only about 10 pads on the surface right now, and most of them have been bitten by ducks.

It looks like an alligator skull from an alligator that needed some serious orthodontic work when it was alive.

Love your pond figgy! My pond iris are being slow this year about blooming, the land ones are almost done.
