I've managed to find a way to make myself spend even more time out by my pond than I already do!

The bog tonight. Ignore the ugly plastic I was using to protect a plant. Also, If you look closely, you might find the small bullfrog.

and here's the toad that's been doing the mating call. I think he likes my new Creeping Jenny.

I had the marsh marigold it just disappeared. I think we have to much sun here.

I've now got two American Toads making calls. A little nervous about what the neighbors will think/do. We've got good neighbors and not so good neighbors. Go figure the pond is closer to the not so good neighbors.

As far as nature in action, its pretty cool. This is the first year I've had it happen.
