I so hate frogs and hate scooping out there dead sucked out bodies after aggie spits them out

Mr Heron just flew right over the pond, they are back!

Bog and pond coming to life. Cleaned all the deer poo and deer plant trimmings out of the stream, got it running no deer caused leaking.

He comes here now and again but goes away frustrated to death,ha,ha,ha!

I weeded a bit after my walk but this medicine for that rose thorn deal does a number on me and I crash and burn after not too long.

The net is never taken off, I love the wide weave, hung high over the pond, all other critters can get into the pond, like frogs, birds to drink and bath .

We are in the flight path of the herons, the nesting area it to the west of us, feeding area to the east. They fly over every morning and evening.

I enjoy seeing one often on my walk sometimes. He is usually in the same ditch each time I see him. Must be snacking on frogs and minnows.

I love watching them, just sucks to see them snack on your fish.

Also, I finished making another spot for native wildflowers.

Water, sun, sky and a waxing gibbous moon here a few days ago - looking north from the head of our stream.

Rained on and off here for the last couple of days so my wildlife ponds both got a good top up:

Here's the pond today.

I noticed I do have some water lily growth.

and a little grass or rush or something is popping up in the bog. not sure what it is. I grabbed it from a ditch last fall. definitely a water plant of some kind.

Nice pond but you may have to go to a bigger one soon .You could do raised sides on it and go a foot or 2 higher and make it easier to work on .My liner is over concrete block and then the retaining wall holds the sides .Something like it would be pretty with your patio

I read a lot over winter that my Globeflower plant is good for bogs, so I split it in half and put half in the bog today. The other half is at the edge of my pond.

Here it is last year when I had it in a different area.
