Good Grief Addy!! Hard to believe your still stuck in so much ice! How weird is that for you?
No kidding, thought it was melting, but! what I saw was the snow layer has dips in it. Still 3 inches of snow on the pond, no ice melting that I can see. The 300 gallon lotus tank has 12 inch thick ice on it. The 1000 gallon, last measure was 11 inches.

Wonder how darn long it is going to take to melt. We have been sort of warmish since Saturday.

The shallow deck pond is actually melting along the edges, it is frozen to the bottom (no fish) Maybe I should start some voting.........lol how long before I see water.

I was so sad to find a big frog dead in my skimmer yesterday. I had to wait for the sun to melt the ice he was frozen in :(

Some little birds are sitting out in my peach tree eating the blossoms!
Sometimes you just can't win. Oh well I don't like peaches anyways but my hubby does. Poor him if we don't get any peaches this year. At least the little birdies got a sweet tasty treat.

I spent some time today cutting down the dead plant remains from last year. After looking around I've found quite a few plants already beginning to grow again, even one just beginning to grow in the partially frozen bog.

Cleaned out the leaves and dead plants form my bog yesterday and cleaned out the window box planters I have on the other pond. Can't wait to get started putting in new plants but weather is still unpredictable and I have new kitchen furniture coming in to keep me busy plus 3 mini green houses to get seeds started in.
