Gosh you have some really pretty fish you need to make a you tube video and put it on here .That yellow and black and white fish in the second pic is really pretty.I did not do a bottom drain I was afraid I could not do it right and it is a scary thing to cut a hole in an expensive liner .I grew up on an organic farm when organic was not really a key word back in the 60's and my dad and I built a pond together and yes we dug the big thing out ourselves and my mom thought we were nuts .Back then he got a big piece of rubber roofing in trade for taking down 2 big trees and leaving some for the guy for firewood and he brought the rest home to sell .My father thankfully kept great records because my mom was no pic taker .My dad worked nights at Kentile floor tiles and during the day he took down trees and brought the wood home to resell and and then we had 5 acres of vegetable gardens that we sold from our house .I learned young .My sisters gave me money for my birthday so I used that for my pumps .In the 60's my mom and dad were a bit hippie like and wanted to be self sufficient .We canned our own food .

sissy the way your family worked and traded for things is a lot like how we operate jobs for jobs free trade thats how most our house garden and pond were built, Your rite about the bottom drain tho, when the liner was in me and my dad was sat in the bottom of the pond, a sharp knife in one hand my dad had the glue, and neither of us dare make the cut, i had put all the pipe work in the liner was in and with one false move about £300 of pond liner was fit for the garbage there is a system to it and if followed not all bad but i must admit as the pond was filling it took an age because it was not only filling the pond but also the 4.5 inch bottom drain pipe, then i was looking all the time is the water level dropping is there a leak if so what the hell do i do now lol i would do another one tomorrow

koi in England is big money and where ever you go people will charge you top end prices. some body some where will buy even the ugly fish the seller will just make up a false name for it, so unless you do your home work you will end up with a pond of all sorts, thats probably why when you read what me and Dave 54 are on about taking about types of koi is because koi keeping in England can be a very serious hobby

The dealership is called Wayside water gardens, Its on the net, the owner is shortly and goes every year to Israel to hand pick koi both for his stock or for customers orders, hopefully he's having a look for a nice tancho kohaku for me.

WARNING! Fairy Gardens are Highly ADDICTIVE! Spend 145 dollars at the greenhouse, and did not get too much! Forgot how darn expensive succulents are and had to buy a few new ones, then I spent 30 dollars on cute fairy garden things! Gee that stuff is expensive! Going to look at second hand stores for stuff for my gardens. Well now I have a few new succulents that I never had before, so I will be busy taking pieces and dividing more so I won't have to buy anymore!
My good friend stopped by and got me a few succulents for my garden on Saturday. but like the junkie I am, that just got me "stimulated" and ended up rushing out and buy more!

Comcast's Xfinity1 box is the pits again and I have had to revert to actually using VCR tapes to record shows on a non xfinity1 box tv. They say we are having another one of their monthly, sometimes weekly problems. They think they will fix it by 8pm. Another $20. off our bill they say they will do for us. I want my shows that I regularly record. Can't even change the channel. It is stuck on one and that's all ya get for your hard earned money
