Our water was red before we installed the one filter and then went to pink so installed another one .Now water is fine .We cannot have a water softener because of my hubby as salt can also be absorbed through the skin and heart doctor did not want his blood pressure any higher than it was .Now is blood pressure is a little low but doctor said as long as he feels OK then he is not going to adjust his meds. So far for 6 months it has been good except he now has to take thyroid meds..We don't really have any building going on around us since the last house sold in 2010 .Builder went bankrupt .I own 3 lots here so nothing will be built near me .I just hope the good old earth keeps up with the demand on her :)We have a co-op that some young farm students are getting up an running at a farm near us because the people who own the farm were loosing money and getting older .I was happy to see that another farm will not go under ,we have lost to many farms to keep up with the supply of much needed food .Without farms we are nothing .

In Devon a clever farmer has been taking in Christmas trees at the end of the festive season, to shred and use as compost "no", he feeds them to his goats who in turn make good compost , then the remains of the tree just the branches and trunk are laid so that hedgerows can be grown using the trees as a support plus its a good place for small wildlife to set up home as it makes it harder for preditors to get them .
All round green thinkking i think you'll agree, sadly sissy we see far to many farms go under , the supermarkets are mainly to blame as they control the prices much of what government term green field sites shouldnt recieve planning permission
Brown field sites are prefared i;e previously built on but somehow time after time little bits of these green field sites get nibbled away at and bilding appear because the council always seems to over ruled any protest.
Sad really as the UK is only a small Island compaired to the rest of the world and we cannot affoard to loose the countryside like we are doing, if it isnt housing then its new roads and railway lines but each thing takes another bit of countryside .
Pretty soon we'll have non left :(

WARNING: THIS STORY IS A BIT SCAREY, NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!
A blonde decides to try horseback riding, even though she has had no lessons or prior experience. She mounts the horse unassisted and the horse immediately springs into motion. It gallops along at a steady and rhythmic pace, but the blonde begins to slip from the saddle. In terror, she grabs for the horse's mane, but cannot seem to get a firm grip. She tries to throw her arms around the horse's neck, but she slides down the side of the horse anyway. The horse gallops along, seemingly impervious to its slipping rider. Finally, giving up her frail grip, she leaps away from the horse to try and throw herself to safety. Unfortunately, her foot has become entangled in the stirrup, she is now at the mercy of the horse's pounding hooves as her head is struck against the ground over and over. As her head is battered against the ground, she is mere moments away from unconsciousness when to her great fortune... the Walmart manager sees her and shuts the horse off

Awww ... Mogsie, that's so adorable, playing violin music for him. Do you play the violin, or do you just like to play the music on ... not sure what you play it on, maybe a computer, or radio, or CD player? Everything is much different where you live, it seems. Anyhow, that's neat, Baby Orri enjoys such refined music. Bet you are glad your in-laws are coming, just would be kinda hard to have MIL in-house for 2 months! Maybe she will cook and clean and change Orri's diapers, leaving you and Mirka to have more time to yourselves. There is always a good side to in-laws staying longer ... right?! :)

Well I know stores don't have them any more so young people have no clue what they are .I remember they used to be a nickle outside the Aand P stores and even those stores are dieing like there green stamps my mom used to collect .I still have 2 books of them my mom had in her stuff and was amazed someone wanted to give me 300 dollars for them ,did not sell them .I think most stores find them to much of a liability .They are even starting to get rid of the claw machines because of unattended children climbing inside them
