Nothing better for cleaning fresh fruits and veggies. A cup of vinegar in a sink of water... I clean n my coffee pot with vinegar too. Every two weeks. Half a cup in the pot fill the rest with water. Run it thru. Then a pot of clean water... Beautiful.

I like the taste of vinegar, too, but not with my coffee. I never thought of using peroxide. But, ever since I've been using bottled water in my coffee pot, I have not had to clean it for 5 years! It runs through just as fast as first pot, too. I guess bottled water has no lime or any other minerals, so nothing to clog it up. Voila!
Has anyone used one of those "Pur" water filters? My daughter says it is the best, but I wonder if it would take away the salty taste of my softened water, or if I would have to use water from the outside faucet, to get it before the softener? Thinking about trying it. She says the filters last a long time. I'm skeptical. It WOULD be more convenient, though ...

Our well water is so soft, I have not had to clean the coffee pot for that reason. I do clean it now and then to clean up the coffee debris. We don't even dry our cars, the water leaves no spots.

Down here................spots everywhere, Water has a yellow tint to it. City water.

The previous owners hooked up the water softener to EVERY outlet, even all hose bibs. I had an extra hose big added before the softener, so I could use that for the ponds. Yep, I can use the softened (artificially, not naturally like your water, Addy) water to wash my vehicles and it sheets off well.
Not too bad outside this morning .... so far ....

1 cup of vinegar, hot cycle. Then re run it with 1/2 cup baking soda and voila! Fresh smelling towels!
And I don't know why, but cleaning my coffee pot with HP makes me nervous, I'll stick with my vinegar. LOL
