I just found they sell the ariens here at home depot but none come with the arm rests .
Ariens is more know for snow blowers. They also have a sub brand called gravely that seems to be popular with garden tractor people.

This little guy almost fell into my lap. My neighbor was collecting and selling scrap iron at the time. Someone gave it to him to go to the scrap heap but it looked to good to trash so I gave him $20 for it :). I put in a new battery and 2 new rear tires and it was good to go.

The neighbor said the local repair guy had told the owner he was tired of fixing on it. If things go as planned I may rebuild the motor next winter and fix the electric start.

Did find that this little guy was $1800 new in 2002.

I had never really paid attention to the mowers and was surprised to see the name when I looked on line .The place where I bought my zero turn only has 50 inch mowers right now and that will not fit in the basement door .I would have to wait but they found a landscaper looking for a mower so he is going to call me about my zero turn .It has 63 hours on it and I bought it in 2009 .

Not sure why but there is more fun in doing something like this then going out and getting something new. I don't understand the people who buy restored cars or expensive koi. All it took was money.

When I was looking for my BX I seen a lot of them without loaders that had only been used for mowing. 10 years old with between 200 and 300 hours on them. I did not realize how seasonal the market was. They seems to be a 2K diff between fall and spring.

Between go-put and the loader it has really let me do a lot without over taxing my back.

OK, ponders, not sure where to ask this question, but I have a frog that is consistently singing on my ponds. It starts in the afternoon, and is singing off and on still now, and it has been dark for 2 hours. It sounds kind of like a click click of a roller coaster going up the first hill ... click ... click .... click then gets faster and faster and faster til it's solid clicking, then slows down to slower click clicking, then stops. Sound like any frog anyone is familiar with? I've tried looking on the internet, can't find a match up, and got tired of trying. Maybe someone knows what I'm referring to and can point me in the general direction or a good website! Thanks!

Itty bitty green frogs. We had them a few years agog.

There maybe other solutions if you want to pursue them.

The first is to only mow up and down the hill instead of across the face of it. I know this is limiting.

The second is to swap out the tires for ones with more grip. How wide are they. Sometimes narrower tires help.

With so few hours on it you might be able to swap it for a more suitable used mower in similar shape.

I would seek help with the tires and traction problem in general on myTractorForum.com as they will know more. Tell them what type and model as well as the problem.

I only got 2 loads of sludge hauled out of the pond today. The good news is that the stuff I am in now can be loaded into buckets with a grain scoop shovel. Two shovels and the bucket is just right to carry. Does not take long to fill the cart. A bit of the sludge driped out on the street when the tire went flat :) Need to replace a tire on go-puts's cart tomorrow before I can start. Not too may days left if things go well.

My wife picked up 3 of the 18 foot snap set pools at wallyworld today. I was thinking 2 but what do I know ;)
