Nope, Fishy, none of those, but thanks for trying! If I could type it to describe the sound, it would be like this:
Click click ... click click click click ... click click click click click click click click click ... then maybe 20 click, faster like going down the hill on a roller coaster, the start slowing down with about 15 clicks, little more space between the sounds, then 10 slower yet, then 5 even slower, then one click and it stops. I know, sounds silly, but that's what it sounds like to me. I'll have to keep searching for maybe frogs in Illinois, see what I come up with. I think it IS very small, think I saw it jump to hide, and saw the motion, but not the frog, so figure it's tiny. Just wish I could see the little bugger. Wondering if it's a Northern Cricket Frog, which I had a bunch of 2 years ago, first year, and none last year.
OMG, looked it up, and here it is, yep, this is the sound. Take a listen:

My dogs were barking up a storm this morning at 6 a.m. Figured out they were about 1/2 mile from house, out in a field, figured it was a oppossum. Hollered, they didn't hear me, so drove car down the road, honked horn, they came running back home. Went back to bed (alarm goes off at 7), and 5 minutes later they were down there barking again. Showered, hollered again, nothing. Got in car, walked out into the field, wondering just what the in world had them so riled up. It was a boar raccoon!!! That guy was NOT backing down from my two dogs. Now, keep in mind neither of my dogs are killers, they just didn't like it that the coon would not run, but instead faced off with them. I know how mean boar coons can be, so called dogs, told them they were good dogs (no one was cut, bit or scratched that I could see) and brought them back home. This time I brought them in the house for 45 minutes until I left for work. They were sleeping on the back deck when I left, so I hope the raccoon had time to get to the woods about 1/4 mile away from where he was. Bet he doesn't come so close to my house again. :)

OK, ponders, not sure where to ask this question, but I have a frog that is consistently singing on my ponds. It starts in the afternoon, and is singing off and on still now, and it has been dark for 2 hours. It sounds kind of like a click click of a roller coaster going up the first hill ... click ... click .... click then gets faster and faster and faster til it's solid clicking, then slows down to slower click clicking, then stops. Sound like any frog anyone is familiar with? I've tried looking on the internet, can't find a match up, and got tired of trying. Maybe someone knows what I'm referring to and can point me in the general direction or a good website! Thanks!
See if this site will help ID your clicking frogs.

Thanks, Lou. I went on a hunch, looked up the Northern Cricket Frogs (also Cricket Frogs), and that's what I'm hearing. Here's the link:

This link has several different calls on it, but the first one sounds exactly like what I'm hearing. So, it's a little guy, hiding in the bog, but it's a Cricket Frog. Wondering if I will ever see them and their pretty green patterns on the back, or maybe they will just visit for a short while and then move on. We shall see!

Glad you discovered its identify. I love the sounds (most of LOL) of frogs.
