The old Ariens RM might be just the ticket for you sissy but they did away with them because the market had split between zero turn and tractors. With me on it there is more then a passing resemblance to a man on a clown car but it is comfortable enough. I have tubeless tires on go-put. One of the front tires came off the bead on one side a few days ago but I was able to get it to go back on and air it up. Could have been low.

Big Lou. Without seeing the setup I can't tell but I doubt the cable has failed. It much more probable that it has become disconnected. Some connection to a screw terminal failed is my guess.

I had a mole or something chew through a wire found him dead but not sure since he was fried .The underground wire was in conduit too .The plastic kind not the metal and he chewed right through it going to the guest house .Lucky for me son did electrical and he leaves lots of slack just in case .Ten feet of slack .He puts the slack inside a box and I was lucky it was at the end near the house .Never thought about it until it happened .Clown car HTH :cheerful: :cheerful: :cheerful: I can say my troy built has been a good little work horse all these years .I would never give up on it no matter what .I even keep it waxed and it gets treated better than my truck .

Big Lou said:
Walked out to the pond this morning to horrid silence. No peaceful gurgling of water, nothing! Ye gads, the pump was not running! Visions of getting a new pump and hiring the pond guy flashed in front of my eyes! Was it the pump? A breaker? The connection between the pump and the buried power line? Or the long run of underground approved power cable.
Through a carefully thought out process of elimination, wifey's electric can opener (classified as Alabama engineering) I discovered it was the buried power cable. If you are wondering about the can opener, this marvelous little device enabled me to eliminate the on-house GCIF connection and confirm it was the undergrown line. Don't know the how or why the cable failed. Next task is to decide upon a more secure power line. For now, a heavy duty outside power cable carefully placed across the lawn has the pump purring!
Speaking of purring, I discovered Sunny curled up in the mass of pond iris'! Blooms are gone so I was happy she has a new comfy spot that is literally in the pond yet dry when the plant stalks fold over.
Happy Day!
For brevity and my sanity I omitted the true suspect. Number one on the hit parade is our prior infamous landscaper, more specifically, his 100% illegal alien worker Jesus. While moving a rose Jesus dug in the area of the power cable run. My theory is he nicked the outer and inner sheathing enough to also slightly nick the wiring. Over the past month I suppose the nicked wire severed. Not including this incident Jesus ruptured two sprinkler water supply pipes and one zone control electrical wire. Those were all repaired during the project by the landscaper. What a pisser..........

The electrician who worked w/ the builder on our house left hot wires just dangling under our house. Hubby went under there and discovered them and decided to fix them himself rather than call the funky electrician guy to do it. The Mexicans that the builder hired to do the sheet rock work were doing it at night once w/ no light of any sort in a bathroom w/ no window light even. Hubby came in and told them to stop as they could not see what they were doing. Builder got mad at hubby for stopping them from doing their job. Hey we are going to have to live here not the builder and we didn't want some shoddy work done just cuz he was too cheap to do it right! Sheesh, I feel your pain Lou!

That's why I took time off work to be in the factory when my modular was built ,watched every step of it and even got to help and changed a few things as I saw that some things were not going to work .Followed my house from Tennessee to Va and if it can do 60 mph it should last .I was amazed at at how easy they made it seem to haul a 2440 sq.ft. house .Took 2 huge cranes to put it on the basement .I only got about 8 hours of decent sleep for 2 weeks . Basement contractor subbed out footings and guy dug the footings for the basement 18 ft. deep and 4 ft. wide instead of 18 inches and 2 ft wide .Took 4 trucks of cement to fill that big mistake and contractor was not happy he had to pay for it .Not sure what the guy was thinking .That did delay everything by 3 weeks .My house set in a parking lot with security guard .House was wrapped from the factory so no way to get in unless you cut the wrapping on it .It looked like a giant Christmas present .Flooring contractor was not happy it set him back by 6 weeks .Flooring had to acclimate to the house before they could install it too .All because of the basement .I had what I call a fine schedule on basement guy and he lost 50 dollars a day for every day and i was at the work sight every day to over see the work .Cost to him was over 2 thousand dollars off the bill .I pushed the daylights out of his men and him .Made him work too ,teach him a lesson .!2 steel beams later on top of basement ,insulation and windows doors and plumbing in the basement and then cranes and lift the roof and had a house .No finished floors but had a house .

Lou this trick might help you next time. Place a 2x4 on top the electric line just prior to back filling the hole. Or a bit of old chain link fence pipe. Anything that will stop the shovel.

My house in Colorado had 2 runs of romex (regular house wiring) between the house and the garage about six inches into the ground. When I left there was conduit and a 100A sub panel. From what I am told the guy who put it in was an engineer with the army core of engineers! RIP
When I moved here I expected worse but everything in the house and garage is up to snuff. Now the stuff in the shop was so bad that we just ripped it out and started over. It may worked but I did not trust it and there were not enough circuits.

I loaded another wagon load of pond muck this AM. It was wetter then the last and a bit on the heavy side. Noticed one of the wagon tires was low but I manged to get it to the shop with the load. Then I realized that I had put the valve stems on the inside of the wheels to keep them form getting busted off. Did not go too bad. Fun time!

GOD BLEES YA PHIL!

People are complaining about how A&E's show Duck Dynasty shows Praying and Using Guns all the time and asked them to remove the show from TV. A&E went to Phil R...obertson & said, can we stop the praying & guns? HaHa Phil said, "If We Cant Pray to God on the show, we will not do the show. God and Guns are apart of our everyday lives to remove either of them from the show is unacceptable." Well A&E signed on to another season with Duck Dynasty UNDER PHIL ROBERTSON'S TERMS. "Like" if You Support Phil Robertson "The Duck Commander"
