America, the great melting pot.
The twenty something Korean daughter at Cathy's one and only acceptable Chinese restaurant is engaged. We have known this for some time. After college the very bright and American born young lady returned to work at this small family cafe. So much for college. The native Korean parents are "extreme" tradionalist. We had hoped her impending marriage would help her break free. Saddly, tonight we found out this is not to be. While chatting the young lady leaned over the counter to tell us her betrothed is "white". Since he recently received a job promotion requiring him to move about fifty miles away I asked if she was looking forward to moving to Ft. Worth. Suddenly, her happy smile was gone. Seems after their marriage he will give up his promotion, transfer back and she will continue working at the Empress Cafe. We can only pray the young couple can break her bonds of servitude.
Post Script: Her younger sister went to college in SW Texas which required her to live away from home. Upon graduation this younger sister took employment in Houston, is to be married soon in Houston and will reside in Houston. Good for her.

Bummer, you sure won't find that here much in our country. We have minds of our own, sometimes over the limit! There is a happy medium of honor to your parents and looking forward to being on your own. I hope they somehow find their middle.

Ok if no tricks then I say 4100 but at first when I added I added all the 1000's together and then the smaller #'s and made the mistake of adding 1000 instead of 100 and got 5000. Why do I make everything so difficult and why are you always trying to trick us koiguy? I know there's got to be a trick in there somewhere cuz you posted it
