A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him,

"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."

The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
...
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Ron Paul Libertarian."

"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"

"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."

The man smiled and responded, "You must be a member of the false Left Right paradigm."

"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"

"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are -- or where you are going. You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

Have you ever thought about the meaning of "not really". I have and I gotta tell ya that it left me cross eyed.

For example:

Are you pregnant honey?
Not really.

If you ain't pregnant you must being eatin' a lot of cookies, pies, cake, fried chicken and such?
Not really.

I saw you tie a big rock to your little brother and throw him in the pond? It was you Cindy Lou weren't it?
Not really.

Hey Big Lou, don't you have anything better to write about?
Not really?

:)))?

anyone ever watch the documentory on grey gardens about the Beale family and how they were recluses that lived in a mansion in upstate New York .It is on showtime again and i have to give the guys credit ,it must have been hard .The mansion was in such poor shape they lived in 1 room no heat or air .The daughter was famous at one point when she was younger and gave it all up to take care of her ailing mother .Interesting pieces in it about JFK and some pretty neat old pics also .They have the story online also .This is the second time I have seen it in 10 years ,makes you wonder what age can do and it's effects on people .

My son came over, swapped out my 320gb hard drive (I think I have that right) for one that is I think 720 gb. So, now I have about 3 times as much memory. And, something about the watts it takes, and it will run about 3 times faster than the old one. Oh what fun it is to have a computer wiz in the family! And, I told him I would make lunch for him, so roast (made in the pressure cooker), mashed potatoes, gravy, corn (frozen type) and bread maker bread! Yummy! I sure need someone to come by every now and then for me to cook for, so I have left overs. Hard to me to make big meal just for me.
Was going to take my Boston to the breeder this afternoon, but she is out of town, so tomorrow it will be, which gives me time to cross stitch the rest of the afternoon.

We have a number of members from Illinois, CE, and I'm sure some of them wouldn't mind dropping in for a home-cooked meal if you're looking for an incentive!

You know I have been having problems with my lg range and home depot is going to replace it for a new range .Well learned something new did you know appliances like fridges ,microwaves ,dishwashers ,wine coolers ,freezers and washers and dryers and even small appliances have to meet safety standards ,but electric ranges do not .Dual fuel and gas have to but not an all electric range because it is consider a high heat appliance it does not .Does that make sense that it does not have to be rated for safety .Talk about stupid .Even portable electric heaters have a rating because they are portable and electric ranges are stationary and run on 240 volts ,huh I would think that would be worse .Oh well I guess if I get electricuted that is fine .I guess frizzy hair is in :afro: :zap:
