On a serious note....

Sunday evening we learned of the passing of a dear neighbor and friend the widow Mary Butler. A dedicated Christian and humanitarian the widow Mary was the definition of a good neighbor. During one of my sickest times Mary was walking to her mailbox when she thought she saw me laying on the lawn. Rushing to my aid she discovered what she saw was actually a lage white bag of garden mulch. Still shaking from concern Mary knocked on our back door till I answered and she could see for herself that I was okay. We shared tears, a hug and a prayer. Mary will be saddly missed by so many. Of one thing I am sure. Mary Butler is now with God in heaven.

OMG, Sissy and JW need to have anniversary parties together! Yes, that is amazing to be married so long. I'm so very proud to know you all, and your long marriages. I totally envy those of you married for so many years, and those who lost their spouses, and have married again, adding to their married years. Sometimes I feel a failure for divorcing, but then I realize that I was in a marriage not allowing me to grow and had been "stunted" since shortly after getting married. Never again will I allow someone to determine my life for me. But, I still wish I could have made my marriage work. :)
Lou, so sorry to hear about your dear neighbor. Yes, she sounds like she didn't even have to knock at Heaven's Gate, she probably went through the open doorway. :)

There is a guy coming down from Michigan and he is only getting the commons the expensive ones have been put on a card sight for cheaper than any one else .We undercut every price on the sight .A guy who just bought cards from us got 600 dollars of cards for less than 300 and he sold one of them for 250 dollars he told us to a guy that lives near him in Indiana .All the trunks are full of cards plus the closet is full of cards .Plus hubby has baseballs that are signed and basket balls that are signed ,Even 3 cards and 2 baskets balls signed by Michael Jordan and come with authenticity ..We have 18 large trunks of cards and 12 big boxes .We have them on an auction sight and a card sight my son monitors most of it and lists them .I can't even name half the stuff he has and we moved these things all the way from NJ to VA .

Are they your son's collection, or your husband's, Sissy? I cannot imagine the value of all those cards. There will be some card dealers getting happy faces from your card sales, sounds like to me. Good luck!

Well, I'm glad your son is taking time to sell them for you and gets a good price for each and every one of them. That guy coming from Michigan will probably take more than he told you he will take, or try to talk you out of some extras!

So, I have 6 acres, then there is about a 1 acre field between my property and my neighbor, Ellie's, and she is selling her 2 acres. I asked owner of the 1 acre field if he would sell it to me, don't want someone putting a house up so close to mine. In doing some checking and digging, found out that at least 75' of Ellie's property is actually owned by the guy that owns the 1 acre field, like they have been mowing closer and closer and taking up the edge of that field. So, if I bought that field, I would also be taking 75' off of her north edge of her yard, and by the looks of things, the 2 trees are right on the line, maybe on the field side. How does that happen?! I sure don't want the new buyers to find this out AFTER they buy the house ... when it sells that is. So, called the realtor (she's my friend, too) and alerted her to the situation and she agreed, the lines are way off! This could get interesting ....

Something like that happened her as people did not check before building there house and put the house on the wrong lot ,they actually bought the lot next to where they built and I tried to tell builder but he kept saying it was right and never saw the owners until they found out and they had to buy the lot there house was being built on and lots here sell for 8 thousand a acre and owner of lot made them pay 15 thousand for it or tear the house down .I double checked my lots since I bought 3 and only paid 5 thousand an acre .

When any of the land is put up for sale or during the transaction a property survey will take place or at a minimum registered land documents examined to ascertain property boundaries. You have 6 acreas CE and we have a measly < > 100' x 60' zero clearence residential lot. OMG! It would be wonderful to live in the country. :))
