That old house is just sitting down by the river, been there forever, I think the city owns the land and leases it out to this farmer. The old house is not used for anything and the boxes are bee hives that the farmer put there for his crops. Actually to be technical, the house is too close to the river so really it is "Crown Land" controlled by the Coast Guard. The Coast Guard has jurisdiction over all water ways and it's natural flood banks. There is lots of very old stuff down by the river.

That was a very nice picture too JW!! :)

Thanks for the picture contest compliments guys!
My hubby and I saw that advertisement for that show "Amish Mafia" too and wondered, what the heck?
I love to look at old buildings, barns etc. They are pieces of art! CE you could advertise your barn boards on Craigslist for sale. There are people out there who would really like to have them. That guy on the "Little People" show who lives in Oregon collects those old boards to use in his town that he makes. CE you could advertise them in your local stores bulletin boards also. You have a gold mine there for someone

The new high def formica is nice .No ce no stainless but the quartz is anti microbial .Wonder what reality show they will put on next .I know when my parents took us kids out they had to sneak us out because you are part of the community and owned by the elders in a way .My parents where charged with kidnapping and moved to NJ to get away .They had the choice to leave but the children really have no choices and parents have no real rights to children .Not sure if it is still the same these days but I still have cousins there but never see them .

Since I wake up usually 2-5 times a night, I plan to look outside and watch the skies tonight and tomorrow and Fri to see what I might catch a glimpse of! I love shooting stars, and evidently it's going to be quite a show! A friend saw I think she said 7 of them within just a couple of minutes last night, so that's how I found out about it.

They have been saying that for years because of the fault line and always wonder now since there have been so many earthquakes over in Japan and wonder how that really effects the ocean floor especially after tidal surges .There has to be more damage than they are saying .I mean I really never even thought of earthquakes until the one in VA .Makes you think
