When I was younger I watched the soap opera called "Dark Shadows". It was not your typical soap opera back in the late 60 and early 70's.

There are so many kinds of counter tops but since stainless steel does not promote the growth of germs I wanted a counter top that did the same and to me granite is not an option ,I just don't like it ,had it hated it in my other house .I wanted something that was east to maintain and did not look to expensive and as the people here will not like it .They are used to one thing and stay with it most times .You don't see many kitchens here with stainless either .

The Donald is not exactly a well liked person here and don't think he ever was .Hate to call him a tad crazy but you call it like it is . There is always a nut that falls from the tree first and it is not always a good one .

Yep and you'll have yourself a Merry little Christmas in your little house on the prairie or on the snowfields freezing yourself to death

Ha Ha Ha, little house of the prairie, could be a graveyard somewhere there too, and a few "body's running around in there, I think the mice for sure have taken over and a few Pigeons too!!
Bear scared the pigeons all last year and they would fly like crazy out the windows as Bear would try to catch the Pigeons!

I have an old barn that needs to be torn down. Wish I knew someone that would pay for the old barn wood. I know you can sell pieces of it pretty high, but to get someone to come take it off the barn, probably would want it given to them, and not sure that wouldn't be the best way to do it. I've been talking about that barn for a while, the foundation is shot, so it will need to come down and not get fixed up, darn it. TONS of really good lumber inside, as it was a corn crip. So there is tongue and groove 2x10's in there in 2 large corn cribs, and all the rafters and so forth are in excellent condition, but won't be for long, as the roof is coming apart a sheet of metal at a time. :-(
Love that little "shack" Colleen! Sissy, do you have stainless steel countertops then? I don't like the granite either, or maybe I've only seen the cheap stuff. I had something called Corian, but not the expensive stuff when I was married, and you had to polish that stuff! It was crazy! When you used this special cleaner it looked fantastic, but otherwise it was very dull. I like a shiny countertop. I'd take old fashioned formica over that dull looking stuff they have. I guess there is much better quality granite, too, as my sister has granite, and it's very shiny and pretty. She doesn't use anything special on it either.

Hey everyone, lots of falling stars/meteorites/etc. in the sky tonight through the 14th! Amazing show going on up there. Catch it at night in YOUR sky!!! I'm hoping for clear skies again tonight. A friend said she spotted 7 of them this morning around 3 a.m. within less than 2 minutes. 13th and 14th are supposed to be the best nights for viewing the most! Since I wake up frequently, I'll surely see a good show. Soooo many stars out last night, but didn't know to watch for falling stars and meteor showers.
