The thing is the family of the guy said he was not well and should have stepped in and now will have to suffer through the pain and humiliation of what there loved one did .It will not be easy for any one ,the pain lasts for years ,the lose is always felt by all the loved ones and time will never heal the wound .I have been in those shoes and every year goes by with a birthday an anniversary and memories never really fade .A pic brings it all back .

the sad part of of all is that you can never stop things like this from happening, be it by gun control, laws, armed guards, psychic evaluation or any other method, as you can never predict where it is going to happen, when it is going to happen, or by whom it is going to happen, the majority of the people whom carry out these acts of attrocity dont grow up displaying murderous tendencies, they usually appear to those around them as nice mild mannered normal people, until that 1 thing snaps in their mind and bang you have a psychotic murderer on the loose, and there is usually a myriad of differant why reasons these people snap, from personal reasons to political, some will carry out their acts of violence in the surrounding area of where they are immediatly after having their mental breakdown and some will travel miles, some dont even have any mental underlying issues and are perfectly sane and responsible for their own actions, in light of all this you can understand how difficult it would be to predict and prevent such incidents,

Well some good news on my range I contacted home depot and they are going to handle it and replace the range .Nice koiguy gives some faith.I lived in NJ near two big malls and think I may have been in them twice .I wonder how many people really know the words to the songs .I was not brought up with this so understanding of it is limited to when my sons were small .I know what I learned is from what they learned .But I do think that it has always been a really pretty holiday That means something really special and not just Santa Clause and presents .I guess no matter what we are all gods children no matter what

My thoughts and prayers are with ALL the families of the tragedy that happened yesterday in CT, including the killer's family. I cannot imagine someone blaming any of this on the killer's family, but you know there will be tons of hatred aimed at them. They didn't pull the trigger, and we can all go on for weeks and years thinking of all the "should have" and "could haves" in this world, but bottom like as said above, we can never predict who will snap and do this awful thing next! Maybe all public places will need to be fitted with metal detectors, but they they need at least 2 people manning each one. Schools ... they are struggling to stay afloat already, no money for security guards. What is the answer? There isn't one. We must all do our best to watch those around us, and try to stay safe and keep those around us safe. May God be with everyone on this sad sad day ...

There all frozen into the ice and won't move, believe me I tried! I do get lots of nice rocks from the river all summer. I just love the river, something peaceful and beautiful about it, even when cold and frozen.

I'm a wreck here in this thread, first crying for the people left behind from the horrible tragedy in CT and then Mark posts that lovely video of the wonderful love filled Christmas songs w/ Christs messages of hope, faith and salvation. This world is full of love and hate and happiness and sorrow and will be till the end of time. I know tho that God is in charge and He will guide us in the ways we should go if we only trust and obey for there's no other way. God Bless You each and every one at this special time of the year and always

Yes I saw that Capewind, so very very nice. The kids hid in the bathroom and closets. She was crying on TV when she retold the story of the horrid events. She said she loves the children. Jesus loves the little children, and now they are all happy and free of pain and in the loving arms of Jesus.

We completed Christmas shopping today! Fun yet glad to be finished. Tomorrow morning we are going to watch our grandson Christon in their church Christmas play. You can be sure we will hug little Christon and little Caroline tight.
