Well, FINALLY they called LG??? Good grief, why in the world didn't they do that 2 times ago? A new range, doesn't work? Should have been replaced after the first time. Sounds like HD is making a butt load of warranty repair money off of LG. I would have thought LG should have been the one to complain directly to so you would have gotten new range sooner. Doesn't matter where you purchased the range, it's still LG that is looking really bad here, HD is second in line. But, I suspect you DID contact LG, and they were punting to HD. Not smart ... maybe they will learn their lesson (LG that is) from your experience.
And, I agree with Colleen, they should be giving you the best of the best in replacement for all your trouble! It is a really nice looking stove, though.
My sister has the front load washer/dryer. I have an old Maytag. I think it's over 30 years old, came with this house, and is the exact same model I had when I was married, and that W/D set is 31 years old now! Anyhow, washer leaked, had it fixed, cost me about $150, but the guy said it will probably last another 30! He said that the rubber rings were the only thing that go bad on the washers. Dryer heating unit may go bad, but I suspect that has already been replaced. I agree, old is probably made much better than new, but new is far more efficient. I really need a new fridge .... but hate throwing out a good one, too. Now, the stove really needs to be replaced, as I'm pretty sure it is close to 30 years old as well. Maybe Santa will bring me new appliances some day .... LOL Actually, someday I will totally remodel my kitchen, and THEN I will get new appliances. But, all works perfectly, so why change it yet? Same thing with the cabinets, they are solid wood, 30 years old, not made that way now unless you get custom made.
