I have a very large yard, the section of the yard is where the ponds are located, run between my neighbor house and my house. The back yard is overrun with my husbands garden, and his pumpkins and squash are running amuck all over the place. I have plans to make the top pond bigger, towards the back yard garden, hubby will just have to move his "sumpkins" (cross between and pumpkin and squash) over. There is lots of room behind the back of the house, just need to be worked over better, trees need to come down and hubby needs to move his junk around better. :)

The gate that Poppy is heading for, leads to where the ponds are, on the side of the house.

The guy next door in that little two bedroom home with basement that was developed before flood, was listed for 120 thousand, too much money for small house, but that is what they sell for here in town. We bought our house years ago in 1987 for 40 thousand, got a deal cause the guy really needed money, and now it is valued at about 140 thousand or so.

Cobbing comming along quite nice, I just need a few more stones to finish this side. I am having a going away party tonight, for the supervisor at work, cause she quit cause job too stressful, we may be striking very soon. Tonight a few of us girls from the bakery will sit outside and party by my pond and have a few drinks. Hopefully they don,t get too drunk and fall in my pond! ha ha ha

Looks so very nice Colleen and I am still slowly gathering my rocks for my project. Also can't start on it till hubby puts his metal stuff around the underside of the boards around the bottom of the front porch. He is trying to protect them from the dirt that accumulates near them. My rock project may help this problem also and help w/ less erosion when it rains causing dirt to flow down and build up in front of boards and cause rotting.

Colleen I have read through your entire post and it has taken awhile to catch up to present day. :) Love your ponds and love your cobbles too! Love your plant of the day.
Have learned a lot. Just wanted to say thanks.

Just put my pond in this summer and still learning. Everyone here is very nice and helpful.

Husband says it may of been a mistake to put in the pond cause if I'm not out working on it, I'm talking about it or on this forum. :D
