Hey Colleen I hope you and I both get some more nice days by the pond. We are having a nice one today and supposed to again tomorrow. Maybe it will head up your way from here after I am done w/ it. Got my rock path pretty much done now except for the sand. I think you used bigger rocks than I did and I may have to swap smaller ones eventually w/ larger ones. The moles can't push the bigger ones up but they can these little ones.

Holy smokes that looks real nice JW! I used some large, some small rocks, but I don't have moles, just mice...
Plus the path is very hard packed over the years. Pack sand in and maybe the moles will get the hint and move away to another area.

Now we just have to poke Mitch and push him outside to work in his garden! Thank goodness the rain has finally stopped!! it must have rained quite a bit cause my wheel barrel is half full of water now! The non stop heavy cold rain all day and night really put a damper on things yesterday.... all I did was crawl under a thick blanket and hibernate! Looking better now, still dark outside and only 430am, day off today so that hot shinning sun better come out!

I had the same cold and rainy day yesterday that you had, I didn't think it was ever going to stop raining. Today it's suppose to be a whole 17 degrees higher then yesterday and o percent rain. Yesterday only 54 F here.

Thanks guys! I'll pick up some nice sand from the river and pack it in real good and if any of the rocks get pushed up I'll just replace them w/ bigger ones. Addy we would love to come and help do a rock path for you but I fear it would take us years to collect enough rocks to do the job and your area around your pond looks just lovely the way it is!
(Pssst, Colleen do you think I got us outta that huge job?) :biggrinangelA:

I was just going to show up for a coffee cause I just worked nine days in a row and watch you two work! Ha ha ha. :)

Sun is poking out, must get endless ball of twine and start stringing up lines to hang the net over the ponds to stop the leaves from falling... damp chill is still in the air. Only about plus 10 C, (50 F) and the damp chill seems to go deep into the bones these days....

I had a little gasoline left in a can so thought I would pour it down the hole and light a match. Wonder if it would blow my pond sky high tho

My puppies loves to dig up moles, what about those fat cats you have, maybe cut down on their food supply for a while ....
Ha my one big ole fat cat catches them and then decides she'd rather not kill them, just lets them run around while she sits and stares at them. I end up grabbing them up and taking them for a ride :cheerful:

Get busy Colleen!

Bill found 50lb bag of sand in his shop so I have sand for my pathway, yay! How did you pack the sand in the cracks Colleen? I was thinking of just using a handle of a weed digger or something. Space is tight.
