Where'd you ever find one that big to begin with...........that thing is huge and I love it!

We bought two off of craigs, the guy had his koi in them, lost a fish due to heat one summer and moved the fish into house tanks. We paid 100 bucks for two a 1000 and a 300 gallon tank. The lotus are in the 300 gallon tank.

What are you going to do with those tanks? Couldn't see where you said what you were doing with them.....

Love your bog with the carnivores pitcher plants!!! Wow I'm so jealous! :) :)

The 300 gallon is in use for the lotus pond. The 1000 gallon will be put in the ground near the big pond, hopefully it will waterfall into the big pond fed by a T from the big pond pump.

15 tons of stone dust for the propane tank hole, a must do to our rocky soil.

Before the tank, the new tank is right near the blue bush. All the other plants to the right, have been moved.

I used 3 scoops under the 1000 gallon tank to help level it out

work in progress; 2.5 feet dug into the slope for the upside of the tank, the down side is 2.5 feet above ground! It will waterfall to the right near that fence post.

One small hole to fix, must have caught it with the buckets teeth, just a nick about 1/4 inch or so. Then ready for water.

stone dust under the tank, i have never used it to level a tank, it works great! cheap too 12 dollars a ton.

the tank installed down the hill, you can see the blue juniper in the before picture to the left of the tank.

When done it will waterfall into the big pond, fed via the pump that feeds the bog. Glad the weather is holding and holding.........I am exhausted!

Tomorrow ........most likely will work on the big pond, start grooming the lilies.

You are a hard worker addy, all these jobs you are doing one right after another and some in between those. That's gonna look nice flowing into your big pond and will give a nice spot for lilies and easy to get at. Never heard of stone dust till you mentioned it for your projects.

Addy, Thats is so exciting that you are starting a new project like this. I love how you add a small 1000 gallon feature to what you have. That one feature is bigger than my whole pond!

Laughing..............we drove the vette to florida, horrible ride, honey said when we got there we are going to trade this car in. I thought he was kidding! We went to just look at the camaros and drove away with one. The vette had low mileage so the trade was good, only 500 less than what he paid for it. The camaro ............sweet ride and it has one of the highest safety ratings of cars, all five stars. Now we have a car with a warranty! (He has 3 older vettes that he is messing with)

nope never ends........ really cranking right now, they are predicting 3-5 inches of rain from sandy, I have some stuff that must be done before it hits on monday, tuesday.

The tank arrived, the white thing is the anode that saves the tank from being attacked by the dirt. I had started covering it with stone dust, then thought take a picture lol.
