81 today and tomorrow, 71 saturday, 54 sunday with a low of 37. The lilies may decide it is time to quit blooming.

This one has 8 buds on it ready to open, I have been told it will keep blooming long after the hardies quit

Cloudy, dark, cool, wet.............the tropical still blooms. The color is a lot darker purple with the cooler weather.

What kind of tropical is that? We have a pink one that was suppose to have been red.

We are looking for something different for next year.

More pretty ones addy. I noticed I have two lily blooms that popped up now but don't know if they'll ever get to open or not cuz of the cold nights.

King of Siam, my other purple is purple prince. I have a pink that has a bunch of buds coming up, hope they open. The groundhog ate the first one I got, this one was planted late.

addy1 thank you for your post. You would get along well with my lovely wife who thoroughly enjoys ponding. I am also an early retiree---well sort of and own a tractor with a woods subframe backhoe attachment. If I had bought it when I was younger I would be much younger now.
I found It takes a little time to get good on the backhoe. Your husband is a real sweet heart for buying you that tractor.

I want a tractor too!!!

lol I have ripped up our yard, more and more grass going poof! Told honey thats what he gets for buying me a tractor!

I moved the front yard, carnivorous plant bog today (well still working on it) Moved it to back by the back yard plant bog.

Simple garden to set up, peat moss and sand, shallow hole lined with a tarp, I use brown easier to hide brown than blue

The dig (not showing all the plants I moved to move the bog to this spot!)

thanks Diggin, and changing it again! lol

The beginning of the change, digging up the ex-carnivorous bog tub (1000 gallon stock tank) it is being moved to the back yard to be added to the pond loop.

The front plant bog last spring
