I will do that, thank you so much for reminding me! Do u think it would work? Using all pond stuff, pump waterfall etc, I think it would be an awesome pool and after researching it seems it would be cheaper doing one ourselves like this then actually buying a pool...found one site that had entire kits . Not to sure how good they would be though, has anyone used one? And just think, later a new koi pond :):):)

Thanks jw, keep, teaching me please:). I bought a muck vac that hooks to the hose and used it for the first time today....it never even got the first bit out, only spit a little water...and we have great water pressure, a deep well with a very big pump. So I know that was not the problem... It just was flakey and cheaply made so back it is going . Oh well, got a lot further just moving rock and scooping so will keep doing that. To my surprise there was actually very little muck, just some leaves and a bit of plant stems and such. So I am going to stop fretting over it . The water is really clear now and can see great. I have really been enjoying this site and sure do like how y'all are all so friendly and willing to share your expertise. :)

Well almost done, still some tile work to do:

The beginning:

The deck pond was going to be on that dark wood

making a frame out of left over 4x4's

bought a fiberglass pot, stuck a piece of pipe in

test water flow

by the next day the plans had changed, bought some more 4x4's glue and screwed it down, put in some carpet

Bought a small piece of epdm, much prefer my ppl36, but this was in town and ready.

One thing I did notice is the epdm gets real slippery, had to tighten it a few times, it stretches, it was a little easier to make fit corners than the ppl36. The ppl fits corners, doesn't stretch out, and is non slippery.

Line installed, decking used to hold the liner in place and trim out the pond.

Installed tile, slate, will see if it makes it though our winter, if not it will be changed out.

laughing! forgot about that pot. It came from homedepot or lowes can't recall. But it leaks, micro cracks everywhere ............so if in the water fine, if out of the water it will nicely empty your pond.

My honey to be, looked at over 100 houses before we found this one. He has to drive 45 miles to work but it is worth it. Neither of us could remember what the house looked like, but we remembered the land. I had flown in for the weekend, looked at the house made an offer and did the buying from arizona, the owner rented it back for a year until I could retire and move.

I love the space!
