Any time, come and visit! spring you have bulbs, mid summer all the perennials go crazy. The frogs will sing you to sleep.

The deer might nibble on your feet.

Love the new pics, Addy! If I'm ever traveling in your area, I will definitely want to stop by! I just bought some half price $5 water lillies at Menards on Tuesday, in the pot, on the shelf, bagged up. Got 3 colors, and by 2 days later, 1 of them was already 20" up to the top of the water, and the next day one more. I could not believe how fast they grew once they were in the water. I also bought a $20 water lilly more mature. I hope that someday my lillies bloom as beautifully as yours! Do you fertlize any of your lillies or plants, or just the pond has enough? I put some fertlizer tablets that are supposed to be safe for fish in my potted plants this year, but assume once my pond is more "mature" I won't need to do that anymore.
Again, thanks so much for the pics. Gives us all something to dream about with our own pond adventures. :)

that is one great pic of pond balance! good plant coverage (0ver 60%) well balanced fish load, good filtration and easy to maintane. Looks spectacular! Is that the night blooming lily at the bottom of the pic? If so yours has grown like crazy! I see a few plants that I think came from me and they all (if they are the ones I sent you) are really taking off well!

What are these Rosy Reds you guys keep talking about? I never even heard of them til I joined this forum. Do they sell them in pet shops? What do they look like full grown? I assume they turn red.

Neat idea sissy, we have a bunch of them direct to dish back to direct hauled the darn things with me across country. We usually have one main house service with a box and dish at a different location for when we are there.

Guess they only live 1-3yrs and says they survive in 33 - 100F temps. Do yours survive in your pond each year addy? Oh and I guess they don't bother your fish eggs cuz you have tons of beautiful fry. Dog gone it addy you are gonna have to start selling the fry someday cuz they are populating like crazy :dunno:
