Addy, What about a crane? You could lift it over the house. Just make sure it doesn't slip otherwise you have a new skylite!

lol cometkeith, that would work, but if we need a crane to lift up the boulder, I doubt the deck would hold it up.

This is what I am thinking of, but not that big. I would also have to find one sloped in the right direction. They charge 100 for drilling the hole, not counting the rock. And being a cheapie...........need to make sure this is what we really want. But it sure would look neat!

new thing here it if you want a large rock where there is not enough support for it ,you hollow the whole underside out and then drill hole for the tubing makes the rock lighter but still looks good or use feather rock

That would work too, plan in progress............just have always like the real thing lol

Honey just suggested digging the stream down to the end of the new deck, another 10 feet or so, having the beginning of the stream at the far corner, then the stream would flow past the deck for 15 feet then down the hill. It would work out great, plenty of slope left to work with. This will be a shovel dig, can't get the tractor up there any more............darn.

The corner of the deck would have great support also. Just need to order one more piece of my favorite liner, good old bend tarp and liner..........

Well pruned the lilies with the lil fish nibbling on my legs. With the texture my liner has you don't slip at all makes it real easy to meander in the pond.

And finally I did a video of the fish, the big white, with a orange spot, the biggest orange one, and the two large shubunkins, one with a triple tail are the fish from last year. I know whitey is responsible for a lot of the fry. Some real pretty fry in there, also some just golden brown ones.

I am filming at the base of the bog waterfall, so lots of bubbles, but they love to hang out there.

thanks, still unsure about the lil brownish gold ones, they must be throw backs lol, waiting to see if they get some color, some are real dark with shubunkin colors but subdued.

The "fantail" was in the shubunkin tank at petsmart, so I thought it was a shubie, has a real neat blue tone to its back. That is a survivor from last year.

My honey said I should turn off the bog and film it again, so maybe tomorrow I will hang over the water fall and get bubble less pictures............lol At least I didn't fall in.

Great videos, Addy. Were those some lilly pads with flowers that every now and then went floating by the camera? Saw them in the 2nd video. VERY pretty fish! Love the dark shubunkin the best! But, I know lighter colors show up better.

I think those floating plants are "snowflake". They look like little lily pads with tiny white flowers. Nice videos, Addy. I have to take some of my fish, now that the water is crystal clear! Yay! BTW - what flie type do you convert the video to in order to upload to this site?

Yep varigated snow flakes, lily like plant. The leafs break off and float around with a flower and roots looking for a home.
I usually move them from the bog waterfall, otherwise they just go up and down............lol
