I can't even imagine - and you did it in 6 months? That's pretty darn good. I'm a huge gardener so I can really appreciate what you've done with yours.

addy It's really amazing, but I know you tricked us. I think I saw that stream in Colorado last time I was there. There is no way that can be man made because obviously it's natural. Also I think I saw a rainbow trout jumping up from the stream in one of the videos.

You caught me!

Country, I didn't see your comment until I made mine. Luckily I used a few more o's so no one thought I copied you. But seriously Addy's stream looks a lot like a little like a stream I saw in Vail a few years back that was right next to the lodge we stayed at. I should know what it looked like. I broke my foot the second day there and got to spend a lot of time looking out the window when everybody else was skiing.

ouch cometkeith, hope it healed well!

Started on 4/21, worked on it until winter hit. This year all we did was plumb in the good pump, as soon as the ice broke, planted the bog and pond with more plants. Little tweak jobs still to do, but the grunt work is done. Still have the top pond, beginning of the stream to finish. We are building a new deck right at the beginning of the stream, but .........with our slope ..........the deck is 3 feet above that pond. So trying to figure out a neat way to have the water enter the stream. There is a pond at the top.

I am thinking of a neat big rock, (we would have to haul through the house) on the decking that has a hole in the rock, the water would flow out of the hole waterfall off the rock on the deck into the pond below. This way we could see it sitting on the deck. Still in planning stages. Honey still finishing the deck.

Of course anytime I find a cheap deal on plants I have to find a place to stick them lol. I have always planted a new place quickly, why wait to make it look nice. and we have so much grass/weeds i.e. pretend grass! Prefer flowers and plants, feed the critters. This is the plants first real summer they are growing wonderfully.

Thanks for all your kind words, it means a lot to hear from others, their opinion of what you have done.

Your idea of the rock on your deck is very unusual and neat. I'm sure you will find the perfect rock for the job. We will all want to see this "first" in pic form ASAP. Funny, that the rock has to go through your house. Evidently it won't be so big it takes your tractor to move it .... just your honey and a few of his friends? Best leave the heavy grunt work to the men, I say. :)

no real easy way to carry it up the slope and then lift onto the deck. If we wait for winter I could tractor it up once the wildflowers die off.

Through the house, at least we could wheel it, as long as it fits through the door.
