Yeah it sucks. I handled arizona heat, but this maryland heat with the humidity wipes me out.

Welcome to my world, too, Addy. I heard it was 97 yesterday, and knowing IL, that also means about 120% humidity! LOL I'm in sunny Utah, beautiful 70's here, dry weather as well, going to be tough to get used to the humidity back home, but tougher on my daughter, who is coming home for a month with her horses. :)
Addy, your pond is amazing, to say the least. Wow, that hill and the stream and multiple ponds, amazing indeed!

No built in bottom drain, I hate cutting liners, have a retrofit type bd. No settlement tank, just the bog.

Thanks it is really taking off this year.

Here is my favorite reminder shot! Taken from our deck.

How it looked end of march last year, before I made the first dig with the tractor The apples trees upper right corner, without leafs You can see the hose marking our pond! it sort of ended up there. There is a pile of mulch towards the left side upper picture. That is a little japanese maple, without leafs. The same tree is in the lower picture, red leafs.

How it looks now. Apple trees upper right corner with leafs.

thanks jw I just love it and all the nature, i.e. critters that come with it. Just found some new fry and more possible frog eggs, except they seem to be floating on the top of the water. Fishless pond.
