Ok see this typed bunch of stuff below? I put your state (is it IA for short?) in the wording below. Well don't copy and paste it cuz if ya do it turns into a weird link. Go to your signature under your settings here on this forum and type every letter in there below perfectly including the.....img's at the beginning and the end and the brackets around them. I had to copy this w/ a photo attachment as every time I would try to type and post it here it would turn into the weather box.

Oh and anybody can use this if you just change your state and town.

The first one is a large view of my area. It's a little more dense than you guys. I'm in the strip between the park and the golf course. The second photo shows a picture from this March. You can kind of see the pond next to the garage. The trees block out the pond in the summer photos.

Wow, never seen an above photo of a big city like that, pretty cool, sounds like a perfect area too, between the course and the park. You only attached one photo though.

okay, I think I got a little better at the google earth thing. I was able to grab the compass with my mouse and pull it to change the angle of the view. You can actually see some of the limestone border of my pond at 1000 ft above it!

ididntdoit, it's probably a lot like where you live. You get to know a lot of people but some of them you wish you never met! lol. Really Most of the people around here are okay, but there are a few neighbors I could do without. I hope your farm neighbors are considerate. I know there can be issues when farms are very close to other peoples homes. The only problem with the golf course by me is that it's private. I've never played it and have lived less than a block away for almost 15 years.

I actually don't know any of my neighbors, I actively try not to, lol. Bought my house 6 years ago, just talked to my neighbor behind me for the first time 2 weeks ago when i installed the fence around my pond, asking him if i could tie into his fence to do it. My fiance chats it up with a few of them, but mostly I can't stand any of them, mainly for the reasons that i love it out here... you can do whatever you want without people whining about it, its just the things they want to do annoy me, i just keep m mouth shut because im sure i do plenty of things that annoy them too :)

Funny, been in the same neighborhood for twenty years and I seen lots of strange things.... sometimes when people are really strange it's best to pretend not to know them or annoy them I found. ... but now I'm the only overly friendly "strange" one out there, neighbors all seem to like me now, people come walk their dogs and children by to see the flowers and garden "junk". Lots of new people in the neighborhood now that are very nice, but it wasn't always that way ..... :)

Well I snuck up on the roof while honey was not home, very carefully. I can't get near the edge, get a little vertigo looking down, so the roof is showing a little.

All the green plants to the left are getting ready to pop, within a week or so it will be all sort of colors.

Google map

old picture, you can see the full deck on the back of the house. The pond is near the two apple trees and the maple tree in the back yard. Our yard goes back into the woods, stops at the farm fields.

Here is our pond from the sky, sort of lol

Very carefully! I get dizzy if I look down, I plant my feet, don't move an inch and take the picture. Also hate heights, luckily our roof is not too steep. But it would be one heck of a fall.

Well I went up to the top of my Arbor to take the pics and here they are. Could not get a far shot as the trees and arbor would block the view of the pond.
