So far I've been able to LIKE away. Lol. Wonder what JW has done to be limited on her likes? I'm a big fan of the little

LOL @ Shella.... I can't wait to have water. We will be finishing the plumbing work tonight or first thing tomorrow and hope to fill this weekend. I have read and re-read so many different threads on here and looked at so many pics of Koi that I am super excited to have some of my own one day.

Welcome to the forum!

We are trying to finish hooking up the pump and are finding the "flexible" PVC is not so flexible. Really having a hard time trying to position it so that it might be the least noticeable. When it said Flexible, I guess I figured they really meant that it was flexible. The stuff is so stiff.

I got a truck load of pea gravel today for my bog and have also begun rinsing it off. Hopefully tomorrow is going to be a really BIG day!

This weekend supposed to be sunny in IL, so hoping same for you in TN, Pondlover! Looking forward to more pics, and hoping you will get to start filling your pond with water. That's the ULTIMATE accomplishment and brought the biggest smile to my face! Not necessarily when it was full, but when I first put the hose in there, and knew that it was going to be full, wow, what a feeling! We're all here pulling for you and, of course, you are feeding all of our desires to build and fill, so keep it coming! I'm loving it!
Welcome aboard, Shella! Trust me, Pondlover HAS read tons of posts! I thought we were following each other one day. LOL It's fun to read, and VERY informative here on this Forum, but better than that in my opinion, everyone is so very supportive and patient.

Have a great time! that stuff can be a pain to get clean.
I found our receipt for our pea gravel, we had 32000 lbs delivered for the bog. I quit rinsing after 6 wheel barrels full. We are on a well and it was so dry that summer, the last thing we wanted to do was drain our well dry. The only issue it caused was running a fines filter for a few days to get rid of that fine dirt that came out of the gravel once we turned on the pump.

Addy - what did you use for the fine filter? Would the window screen work for that?

I put in window screen, some quilt batting, a few ac filters, used a slow flow pump and just pumped the water in the bottom, had it flow out of the barrel back into the pond. we had a 55 gallon barrel. It did a great job in clearing up the water, after xx days (less than a week) I turned it off, have not used it since.

We put gravel in bog and plan on trying to filter some of the dirt off as Addy did. I love it! I'm off to Lowes for filter media. Hoping to fill pond tomorrow and test waterfall. Wanted to attach video but don't know how from iPhone. :(

Lena, I think the easiest way to attach a video to here is by putting it on YouTube and then copying the link here. It's the only way I've been able to so far anyhow. Others directed me to do it that way and it works. Anxious to see more pics, too!
