Lol Mitch, sometimes it feels like it, at least lately. We did warm up to the mid to high 30s this past week & even some low 40s so it's been much nicer! Colleen it was like this 2 years ago, didn't think summer was ever gonna get here. Have a decent size hole open on the pond. Saw doves and other birds drinking out of it. Also saw purple martins and red wing blackbirds back. Was glad to see them. Patty I hope all the snow is gone for you, we call that thunder snow when you get lightning during a snow storm. Pretty cool, usually happens without the sleet & rain tho. You got the storm that luckily moved south of us, 2 years go we had a storm in mid April that dumped almost a foot of snow before it all melted 5 days later.

Almost all of the snow was gone already this morning, except the stuff that had drifted pretty high ... well pretty high for around here. LOL It was maybe 2' high. The good thing was my koi pond never saw ANY ice, and the goldfish pond got slushy and a drift went across it in the middle. Kind of neat how that happened. That lasted about 4 days before it melted. Stream was running and emptying into the goldfish pond right under the drift, and it still stayed there. How's that for snow is a good insulator?!

No snow left here, but tonight we are going to get some wet stuff, then it will be on the cold side for a couple days, then even warmer than ever this year by Tuesday! Just a few more cold breaths left in old Man Winter! :)

Sounds like a perfect day to me, Sissy! Busy, productive, and ends with much relaxing. The sun is trying it's best to burn through the heavy fog this morning, so I'll be heading outside soon. Going to redo the waterfall water line today. Will take pics to show where it used to be, then where I will relocate it to. Going to scoop out the algae that has built up behind the laundry basket in the bottom pool of the waterfall, before I move the line. I'll post pics later on my thread of the koi pond. Wanted to separate lilies, but I'm somewhat concerned about the ones that were above the water level when the pond emptied out, and that they may have froze that night before I got the water level above them again. We shall see ... some are showing signs of life, and others not.

Haha, I'm waiting for JW to post some cute little animation thingy pushing you out of your chair. I, too, didn't get really going this morning until almost 11, then the sun never did come out, was windy and a little chilly, but still was nice to mess around outside.

Yesterdays dinner was a "hit" and enjoyed by the lovely family who managed to behave themselves, and we all had a good Friday! The weather was beautiful and we sat outside in the afternoon and had a tea.

Well I had to work all day today, and boy was the bakery busy! We sold so much it was hard to keep the selves stalked! We sold tons (hundreds) of fresh baked tray buns, package of 12, white or whole wheat, only $1.98! We also sold tons of fresh hot cross buns too. Other top sellers today, pumpin pies, bread crumbs, Easter cupcakes, black forest cakes, and hotdog and hamburger buns too. Every Easter, it is always the same thing, so we have to have extra staff to bake and package everything. I worked over three pallets of commerial bread (Wonder breads, Country Harvest, etc, bread not baked in store) and two pallets of frozen boxes in the freezer. I worked really hard, going to have a nice drink of red wine to help me relax and unwind.

Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler, a high of 48 degrees, but wait till Tue

Lol lazy days for me are usually Sunday mornings with the paper & coffee when I can manage it. It warmed up some around here & then old man winter fought back on Easter,

The pond Easter morning, finally saw some of the fish!

image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Finally took the heater out & have a lot of algae where 450 pump is flowing in the stream

image.jpgimage.jpg

And then later that afternoon, more heavy snow

Luckily didn't last long. Melted right away. It was 35 yesterday & a high of 37 today. Our normal high is 47, should hit 50 later this week. Can't wait for spring!

Man that snow just won't give up on you will it Herz? At least you got a glimpse of your fish! We lost our shine today but rain didn't get us either, just gray out there. My fish and frogs were really happy w/ the sun we had. Now I hear nothing from them, well the frogs anyways........fish are just silent partners I guess

I heard the frogs in the farm pond tonight again. Not sure what kind they are, need to look up "frog sounds" and see if I can figure it out. They weren't bullfrogs, nor peepers, something else. Snow snow go away, right, Herz? I'm sure hoping when we warm up this weekend again, it decided to hang with us this time. Was down to 27 this morning, and only up to about 40 here today. Warmer tomorrow and going up through the weekend. Yippee!!!

Herz, It looks like you are warmer than here. Finally about half my ice melted and then it went into the 20's last night and I ended up with more ice than the day before!
