JW, your granddaughter is adorable!!! She sure is a keeper as they say. Herz, OMG, you have tons of rabbit tracks. Looks like they have not tried to drink water from your pond hole, though, which is a good thing.
Do you have water for the birds and rabbits? I can't remember if you had something for them in your feeder station.
Oh, shoot, I meant to go to Menards today to get suet cakes for 50 cents each on sale. Oh well, maybe they will go on sale at Rural King soon. I'm too cheap to buy them unless they are 50 cents each. LOL I noticed about 6 doves sitting on the electric lines behind my house this morning, so filled the sunflower seed feeder again.

You either have a ton of rabbits or just a couple that like to hop all over your whole yard herz! Must still be pretty cold there cuz sun isn't melting your snow or did you get more last night? We got hail along w/ sun and rain today. Heading down to below freezing tonight. Oh Spring please don't forsake me!
Thanks for the nice compliment on Zoey herz. She is a such a sweetie pie :luxlove:
And they do grow up way to fast!

Lol I have only ever seen 2, but they are pretty active. I think they live in that back corner of the yard. Its been in the 20s during the day with a high of 30 when lucky. I think it was 25 when I took that, but with the sun it makes it feel warmer. I feel the same way about spring, can't wait!

The only water so far is from the snow or opening in the pond. Have a heated bird bath my dad got for a gift but never used, just haven't set it up yet, but gonna ad it to the station.

So last night we noticed that the rabbits were "prairie dogging" to eat from the bird feeder. Saw them doing it at midnight a few days ago but couldn't get pics. Tonight it happened while we were eating dinner & we were able to turn on the lights to see them better and get pictures.

Haha, you sure have some friendly and determined rabbits. Find it funny that they come after dark to feed, too. Had no idea rabbits would come out after dark. Learning as I go ....

Patty, they are out every night at some point. Sometimes I see them sometimes I don't. Good entertainment for my cats too.

Birds feeding mid day, got warm here today, 35 degrees! Supposed to be like that the next few days.

What is the framework surrounding your feeding station area, Herz? Is it a gazebo type thing that you put an awning on in the summer, or maybe an arch that vining plants grow on? Looks neat.

Thanks patty, it's a madaga gazebo frame from target. Like it, it holds up fairly well under wind, but as the canopy covers wether under the sun they tend to rip after a year or so. We get the replacement covers when they o on clearance but after owning it a few years the frame is beginning to rust. So I plan on replacing it with a rustic looking pergola with some kind of shade cloth underneath. I say rustic because it will probably look that way since I plan on building it myself.

Got some snow melting going on. Opened up both holes in ice. The heater is the smaller hole in the pics. Drifts are still covering the back end of the pond and garden.

Nice peek inside the windows too! :)

Today I chased the comet at sunset, but couldn't find it, maybe it was hidden behind the jet trail? They said there would be a comet in the sky after sunset? Did anybody see the comet tonight?

Colleen, that looks like a comet, not a jet trail to me! If it is, you got some awesome pics of it. How about what is the small circle of light on the right hand side of the pics that the jet trail looks like it is aiming toward?

Not sure what that small circle is, but the comet will be best viewed from the 12 to the 14th. On the 13th the comet is supposed to pass by the cresent moon and give the appearance of the Muslim symbol. That's all I know... will have to gather more information.
