@brokensword / @GBBUDD: My dad frequently tells me about the time he was building our house when I was a kid and needed some top soil for the yard and gravel for the driveway. Dump truck driver said he could deliver them together in one load. Dad figured he had a separator in the truck to keep the materials confined. Nope, driver showed up and they had loaded the gravel first and then loaded the soil on top of it. lol

Got an electric wood chipper to help get rid of all the branches that fall as well as all the yard waste.
Nice! I just haul it into the back woods and make critter piles! With as wet it is here, the stuff just goes away. Except the big branches trunks.

Been digging up overgrown gravel beds in the front yard for more river rock to add to the bog. Kind of a nightmare task, but killing two birds with one stone. Or 2 chickens and bowl of noodles or whatever the heck it is that @GBBUDD likes to say.

@mrsclem: Check out Chip Drop. Arborists often have to pay to dump their chips. Chip drop connects them with homeowners near their job sites where they can dump for free. Where I am, it's a little bit competitive, so you can actually offer a fee so that you'll be chosen faster. I paid $20 last summer and ended up with 20 yards of chips. Dummies buried my mailbox, though, and the mailman was a bit annoyed until I dug it out.
Had too many disasters having large loads delivered. We have a VERY steep driveway. Most people won't even pull their cars in. Have had several trucks with firewood, lumber go from driveway into the yard at the bottom. Last delivery from Lowes wouldn't even bring the load down with the fork lift. Instead, she blocked the entire road for almost an hour and tore up the yard trying to unload. Wish we still had our gas powered chipper. It ate leaves and any wood 4" or smaller.

Many are going to upstanding your wish. As California's idol just mandated every gas mower chopper chain saw weed whacked be electric by 2023 that jack azz has never used a single one and Exactly what to you do with the tens of millions of gas power trow them away and use more resources on one fools thinking. Digging up lithium is way more destructive to an environment ITSZ CALL STRIP MINING . then is gas AND DRILLING

Love our big gas chipper! We have to trim all the big fir trees around our property so we can mow under them each year. The chippings make wonderful mulch in all my garden beds!

As someone who has made a living as a logging contractor for 35 years, I would like to see the law officials cut down a tree with an electric chainsaw. I pick the tree...

Oh?
didn't you know? Cali only grows plastic 6' trees these days; they've reclassified the redwoods as a minority group and are subject now to federal bailouts...you know, like they did Hollywood...

Watching the dolphins and pelicans go after some fish that were schooling. The dolphins kept going up and down the coast line. So neat as the pelicans kept diving.
