cleaning and feeding caterpillars hopefully for the last time. Only 27 more to climb up! Got window screen netting over both ponds, leaves are falling already and I'm sure Ida won't help that situation. Tomorrow its drain cleaning and clearing off lawn furniture. Every time we are prepped, nothing happens so going for it.

We stayed home due to the storm coming, yesterday, were going to come to the boat. We were to be there today so the contractor could come back to fix a few things.
He had to call off due to his aunts house being damaged from the tornado and a tree falling on it, new roof, new siding. So we came to the boat.

The tornado touched down about 1.5 miles from us, we could see the start of the path as we drove here, trees down branches everywhere. We got to our boat it was as if nothing had happened.

We received 3.4 inches of rain, just north of us by 5 miles they received 8 inches of rain. The bridge we go over to get to stores (one way to go) is closed. A very small creek is like a huge lake. There are a lot of trees/ bushes planted there now in those white tubes, just starting to grow. Not seeable now all under water. My neighbor took the pictures since we had left for the boat.

All i can say is I am glad our house is at the top of a hill with a good drop off to the back, the water just rolls down that hill.
It poured good old Ida, horrible flooding other places in the state. One apartment building two people died they were in basement apartments the water came in so fast and so high they drowned. The water was 2 inches from the ceiling. So sad.

A lot of roads closed right now, trees, washed out , flooded. Non stop on the news turn around don't drown. A lot of cars flooded, don't buy used from MD now, might have been flooded.

We sold our property in Vermont last Friday so, no more ponds. We drove the RV to Florida, and working on getting a new house built on our waterfront property. I will probably check in from time to time to see how everyone is doing.
con grads hope the build goes well

That twister got me scrambling as the Mrs. got the alert tornado on the ground in your area. I was not with her and she had no wheels. We are due north of Annapolis it did pour for a period of time but we had heavier rains earlier in the year. The river as it dumped into the bay though was something to behold the logs had to be flowing 8 to 10 mph not the kinda water you want to be swimming against.

My late hubby took a 883 and spent around 30 k on it, ported polished billet chrome, etc etc make it a 1200 I think or higher can't recall. Even have all the paperwork about the changes, receipts etc.

I brought it here thinking, crazy me, I would learn to ride it, nope parked never touched. To many years working in a trauma hospital.

So finally had it taken out and sent to be loved again by someone. With a ton of stuff, bags, extra chrome, parts etc. It is a beautiful bike, when not covered with dust. Even won a show.
