The farming part of it is relatively easy, but forestry takes A LOT of patience. I still haven't figured out all the controls, and some vehicles don't work quite as well as they should.

It also takes a lot of patience when you accidentally slide off the road and get a semi stuck on its side. Took me an hour to get it out, and I still have some logs to clean up.

Jb, I’ll have hubby message you tips and tricks he remembers.
So, as I was saying about the weather, I just got home to snow. Rain in the city, drive two hours, and come home to snow. They’re keeping dad at least another day, depends on what the echocardiogram says as to how long after that. They’ve got him on a heparin drip, but lab work is good.

Sorry for the delay @JamieB i have worked with black jack products in the past and they were fine foe chimney flashing or even a parapet wall on a roof . I just got done looking at there spec sheet and msds sheets , But I would never use any of the products from them for a pond. Again that was the asphalt based and plastics roof cements they absolutely would not be a high choice of mine in a pond repair . How ever I don't believe I ever used a neoprene flashing from them . Neoprene is a great product to place between items to make the joint water tight They have used that in electrical for years. It may be a great product you have there but i would still get the adhesive for bonding epdm together FROM FIRESTONE OR OTHER, and then when the patch is made caulking the seam is done. That's where I am leaning your product could do the trick. Black jack has been around for years and is a trusted name in roofing so I'd try this id put two pieces of rubber together with the black jack and then after a week of curing i'd try to pull them apart if it won't then the only question left is, is it toxic to fish.

I gave up for now. Told my sister to find her fish another home, she had one in under two days. And now with my dad in the hospital, that’s perfectly fine. Ive got higher priorities right now. That was the only product at my local Lowe’s I could find that didn’t specifically say toxic to fish, in the flashing section, where I was looking for the stuff addy uses by loctight. They don’t carry that product apparently. I’ll get my pond done in my own time, ( when the stars align just right to let me get it done! I’m thinking fate is giving me a heck of a smack down right now). So it will get done, just not with any of the liners I was trying to use and repurpose.

looking at the woodpeckers on the drilled log stuffed with peanut butter, that's hanging on my the deck, I realized how many types of birds I hadn't seen since we stopped buying the suet cakes.
We stopped buying them because the last few we bought turned out to be a waste, perhaps they were old, or made with crap ingredients.... and so I decided to try making my own.
I started by doing some research on youtube, it seemed simple enough. So I gathered some basic ingredients graded for human consumption : Lard, Mixed dry fruits, crunchy peanut butter, and I added some mixed seeds (will use shelled next time) and a little bit of chilly pepper to keep the squirrel off ( they can still go lick the peanut butter log)

I melted the lard on the stove and mixed it with all the ingredients. I lined a baking pan with waxed paper and poured it all in there. When it cooled off a bit I put the pan in the freezer until the cake was hard enough to be cut into 4 pieces.
I put one outside, and the remaining 3 I single wrapped in wax paper, and placed back in the freezer.
The birds are loving my suet cake, and I can't wait to see all species return...why didn't I think of doing this before, I wonder

Good idea! I need to try and make some of my own also
The birds will thank you!
Making your own suet is easy, and way cheaper than store bought, also gives your birds fresh healthier nutrition cause you can choose what goes in it
Today I'm making a fruit and nuts cylinder, since they raised the price of the one I used to buy ...no way I'm paying 27.00 for it
I'm thinking I'll have to use gelatin instead of lard, I'm guessing not having a cage around it for the birds to grab onto, lard would be too soft to hold the weight of the larger birds...I hope it turns out ok

Happy cooking!

Check in the adhesives section at Lowes. They no longer keep it in the roofing section. Also available on Amazon.

Better off with a new liner, that is toooooo many holes to fix and with dry rot asking for problems.

I've noticed some of the downloadable forestry equipment works better than some of the stuff that comes with the game, but it's hit or miss. I've gotten into a rhythm with certain equipment now.

The bee cleaners showed up, yesterday, they were there quite awhile snacking. The bees had a good day yesterday cleaned out a lot of the dead bees. It is a boy and girl, I could see some sniff checking my guess seeing if she is ready for making kids.
