Well that sucks! Is the fire close to where your are? Are you in danger? Stay inside, it could be bad to breath and hard on your lungs. Close the windows if you can and keep the air on. Could use some heat up here today, still cold and barely 60!

HOT here today and feels like it's in the 90's but says a bit less. Too hot to stay outside for long to do any work so in and out all day. Peas are supposed to be good but supposed to take the skins off I believe. I love canned peas.............yum! Gonna buy a whole box of them at Costco!

Beautiful bloom Ce, just beautiful and glad you got them to grow somewhere anyways! I think you mean Ludwigia do you and not Weigelia?
Yep, JW, thanks for the correction. I'm still in the learning process of my plants. :) I was calling it creeping water primrose, or something like that, but then figured maybe the official name would be better, but keep forgetting it! LOL

In the 90's here again, but doesn't seem as hot, maybe not as humid. Heading outside to try to finish up my sidewalk that I started the expansion on about 2 months ago ... or more? Got the seed and mulch, then realized I forgot some potting soil, will see if I have some here to put on top of the seeds. Rain predicted tomorrow, so will mulch them with added straw, since I have a bunch in my hayloft. Must remember flashlight, as hayloft is dark, didn't have any windows put in when resided the barn. Stupid me!

+24c here today, but has cooled down a bit more. kind of happy the heat has disappeared for awhile, I havent figured out the central air in this house yet and the loft bedroom is stifling hot at night! We have been having a super hot summer for up this way so far this year, and very dry..

With central air if you have older duct work you should have what they call dampers on your duct work near the blower or heating unit .Guessing you have a traditional heating system and not heat pump .The dampers are turning knobs on your duct work that adjust the flow of air to certain parts of the house .There is a flat piece of metal inside where that knob is and that knob opens or closes the duct work .Giving more heat or air to certain parts of the house than others .The best thing would be you tube to explain how you adjust the flow of air on a traditional heat and air unit .They show how dampers work .

comes from years of watching repairmen to learn so next time I don't have to call them .Now with you tube it is so easy to trouble shoot anything and even repair it ,it is amazing .I used a ohm meter and figured out what parts are bad on the fridge and will replace them and give my old range and fridge to Mike for that house and the salvation army is picking up there old ones and giving them to a family in need here ,that do not even have a fridge or range .Those appliances are only 7 years old and were not even used for 3 years .So I feel good about my little give backs to people and love to help .

HOT TOWN SUMMER IN THE CITY, BACK OF MY NECK GETTIN DIRTY AND GRITTY...................Woo hoo it's getting hotter here. Gonna be in the 90's today and tomorrow. Might set some records here. Gonna put on our life jackets and take 2 cars and park one up at the top of the river and park the other car down at the lower end and float ourselves all day. Gotta watch out for log jams too cuz don't wanna get sucked under one of those babies. Fun, Fun, Fun in the sun :sun_smiley:
