What weird weather, Alberta breaking records for heat and I just heard on CNN that Las Vegas reached a new record for Heat, 115 degrees, unreal! People with no A/C could end up dead!

The storm passed by us, a brief cool down. It hit north dc, the area that got flooded had 3 inches dumped on them very quickly. Other areas got 1 inch.

Our local radio is saying chance of rain Thurs, Fri., Sat. and Sun. I had to write all 4 days, as saying Thurs-Sun might have meant just a couple of days. LOL I'm really hopeful that I will get some this time. I saw a rain cloud open up just north of me tonight. That's how it's happening around here. When it does rain, it stays stationary, doesn't move, so whoever gets it when the cloud burst, gets it ALL!!! It's so unfair when everyone around you gets rain but you. I'm just so happy that I can water my stuff, no cost except the electricity to run the pump. Free water ... kinda. I love to see green grass, though, so I'm really missing that. It's going to take quite a few soaking rains to get the grass kick started again, I'm afraid. At least I can enjoy my flowers and plants. Got some more $1.50 plants, annuals this time, but they were either in gallon pots, or 9 of them for $1.50.

yeh seems all the places here have lowered the prices of there plants to get rid of them .They are a little heat hurt but can make a comeback .

Woke up to RAIN!!! Doesn't look like much, but probably going to be wet and drizzle all day. Better than nothing, too bad it just so happened to fall on the day I took off of work.

After 3 days of scorchers, this morning I woke up to thunder, lightning and hail!

We woke up to a mean lightning and thunder storm. That was a surprise! Then it started to rain off and on. Now looks like it's trying to clear up, see patches of blue between the clouds.

Hey John we both posted on our storm at the same time......................we didn't get hail tho just rain, big thunder that shook the house and lightning................scary!

I've listened to thunder for over an hour with not a drop of rain...this is getting sooo old. It did cool off a little though so I should be able to enjoy the pond for a little while tonight if the sun doesn't come back out, fingers crossed.

JW, we are about 37 miles apart. Now I know that storms are at least 37miles big!
