It was another super hot humid day, went to the local greenhouse to get garden tour tickets for me and my mom, was so hot there I could hardly stand it, temperature with humidex was over 100 degrees today!! Cooled off several times by sprinkling myself with garden hose. Floating tropical water hyacinths and lilly pads finally looking better with the heat! Pond pumps going full blast, water gushing really good, got to have good water movement with this heat that's for sure!!!

We have well water too, and we have been watering our lawn a little bit with the sprinkler, not much, maybe 5-10 minutes and then move the sprinkler to another area just to keep it alive every 2-3 days. You can really tell the difference compared to our neighbors lawn, heck even our lawn beside the garage where we dont bother to water is yellow.

We have bought a couple of dozen ears of sweet corn, pretty much have it every night with dinner in the summer. It tastes great as always, but the kernels are way smaller than usual.

Thank God for Central Air! I've spoiled My son now though, He loved outside in the Spring then temps went up and so did the A/C and now he begs to come back inside after a few minutes.

Our high today is 93 but I don't believe it, already showing 88 before noon. 20% of storms so I'll keep my fingers crossed for some relief but I'm not betting on it with those odds.

AC what's that, lol! 55F here now and still hazy from China smoke. Hope no radiation coming from Japan in that smoke. Don't want to be microwaved! Guess it makes for a pretty sunset if the sun ever make it out today.
You almost home addy?

Getting very hot here now, temp now over 90 degrees and tha's not including the humidex factor, which would put the temp over 100! Send cool air here too, so I can get back outside and work!!

Grass needs mowing, some weeds need yanking, lilies need grooming, ........on and on...........but tomorrow another day too hot now to go out.

Getting hotter here also. low 90s. Still better than 3 digit heat but no far from it. I was having an issue witht eh pond water getting over 85 degrees. So I built a shelf to cover half of the pond and it kept the water temps down in the pond.

It was hot, sunny and breezy here today, but I was at work, so didn't notice the heat too much. Not much change in the temps, low 90's and high 60's for range, 30% chance of rain Thurs., Fri., and Sat. Maybe I need to plan some big get together OUTSIDE for the weekend, that should make it rain, right?!
