We actually had to close all our windows last night because of forest fire smoke, heavier than last May.
We weren't sure what was going on. I looked at the forest fire map and there is a large 8700 hectare (21,000 acre) forest fire that's been burning since July a little over an hour north of us.
They classify it as "under control".....o_O...hmm, you guys sure about that?

Then this morning the air was clear as could be. Weird how that happens.

Sounds like you are getting a little to close to the fire Mitch. Are you keeping track of which way the wind is blowing, and how fast? Do you think you are in any danger? If you had to leave quick, how quick would it take to get out? How many roads lead out? Stay safe Mitch :nailbiting:

Forgot to mention that we just had thunder and lightening just now! I Was just outside sitting in Haunted Gazebo with my little heater burning so nice and keeping me warm, they all of a sudden I hear this lound thunder and then I ran in the house! Were Not supposed to have thunder and lightening in October I don't think! Strange weather I would have to say, kind of "creeped me out "! I have to go back outside and turn off the heater and candles.... 7 degrees Celsius right now (45F)

I'm not too worried about it. I was just surprised at how quickly and thick the smoke came in.
It was too big to be a burn from a farmers field.

Up early this morning to get the turkey in the oven.:chicken:

Thanks, j.w. I was in a bit of a hurry, between doing the turkey and washing dishes. Well, HELPING, anyway!
